@nessaghouliful They didnt explain on screen why she changed back to her old look, although i read somewhere it was because she didnt have to hide from people noticing she was related to sybil, her sister.The reason Ethel is portrayed by Felicity Jones who played ethel in the orginal series of TWW is because fans liked her more than Katy Alan who replaced her for the following two seasons.

I liked the original Worst Witch and the new one, they were funny and cute, but this series is a lot more darker and mature.

I only wish they made at least one more season.

@dalivsta Naturally, there isn't a pure tone of black in anyone's hair since melanin (The pigment that gives humans the range of colors of their skin and hair) is brown. All hair, even the darkest, is a shade of brown rather than black and it may show a reddish-brown shine under some lights. Only artificially pigmented hair can be black, which will show a blue-ish or white shine under light.

That said, she either probably darkened her hair with a dark brown color or it got darker over the years.

there were only two things in this series that i liked: Ethel being the original and the guy who would go on to play Tom Riddle in Chamber of Secrets. i don't count Mildred because it wouldn't be a series without her.

the drawback is a lack of Miss Hardbroom, and that's why i never watched the series if i could help it.
