Have you read into Freya at all? In Norse mytholgy, she was a goddess of love who had a chariot pulled by cats - and then there was something about her coming out of a lake, methinks.

And if she's the Lady of the Lake, like the episode title says, she'll be the one to give Excalibur back to Arthur.

I loved Freya as a character and her death was so sad, but look at it here guys if Freya had lived Merlin and freya would have gone off and lived together and that means Merlin wouldn't have fulfilled his destiny to protect Arthur from danger and Arthur would'nt have become King and would never unite the Kingdom of Albion.

I cried my eyes out this entire ending. And I agree: one of the first things I thought of was Guy/Meg when seeing this episode---a couple who's only on one episode together but it has such an emotional connection with the viewers that you are heartbroken when they are split apart. Whoo! Amazing job on the video. So much chemistry between these two. And it's also funny that this is episode 9 when the RH ep was 9 too, haha! Hope Freya will appear later as the LotL.

Oh I totally agree!! these two were so FABULOUS! It's such a shame they had to go and kill her! but something makes me think she'll come back. You know her line near the end "Someday I'll find a way to repay you"....and the Lady of the Lake connection...I'm crossing my fingers that they'll get to at least see each other again :D
