MY FATHER AND MOTHER MOVED TO ATLANTA, GA. FROM SHREVEPORT IN 1950. WE MOVED NEXT DOOR TO DEFOREST KELLY'S PARENTS. I HAVE SEVERAL PICTURES OF DEFOREST THAT WERE GIVEN TO MY MOTHER WHEN HE PLAYED WESTERNS. HIS FATHER WAS A FINE GENTLEMAN. AS WAS DEFOREST.

childstar, Mr. Kelly told this story back in '89. "How do catch a Polar Bear? First you go to the arctic. (That's where they hang out). You dig a deep hole in the ice. You then line the hole with peas. When the bear stops to take a pea, you kick him in the icehole". Mr. Kelley was much better. His gestures added alot!! God Rest De Kelly. =Stefan=

LOLOL Oh, that's wonderful! I love hearing stories about and by De. I have very fond memories of him when I worked the ST conventions back in the 70's. He was a remarkable man and I treasure my time with him.
