Still the best show I have ever been too. and Yes I agree 110% with everyone who thinks Jason is dragging the Cure down.. I watched a couple of interviews with him, Hes a complete idiot SPAZ!!!!
i really do not care about drummer this and that,,, but for me ihis was a life changing concert....i can still remember where i was during this time..
too right! i DID wear the VHS out! i shit you not, i learned how to drum from obsessively watching Boris' playing in this concert over and over! Boris Williams is amazing and I didn't see the Cure again until 2000 or so with Jason Cooper and i was horribly disappointed. his drumming took the heart out of all the songs!
I own this on VHS and almost wore the damn thing out. It seemed like forever to wait 3 more years for them to tour for wild mood swings but when they did, it was awesome, a 3 plus hour show, with no opener, just the cure at thier best
boris had a great feel when he played the drums, jason sounds too technical, that is true, but you cant blame jason if you dont like the cure nowadays, tthey play different but trilogy dvd is really good and jason does a great job there
@MegaLkb What a great line huh? A lyric that rings so true with me...I also like the line from the song "cold" off Pornography where he says "ice in my eyes, and eyes like ice don't move"
I was at this concert. It was filmed at the Palace of Auburn Hills in the summer 1992. I remember being annoyed by the camera boom cranes that were moving around over the main floor and in front of the stage... but they played a killer set list. The album / video focused mainly on newer songs, but they did a lot of older stuff that night. Still one of the best concerts I've ever attended.
@shock1974 yea i was 15 when they came to San Diego remember the play 2 dates it was fantastic just like you said it was more focus on wish but open stuck in my mind, the drums are killer
your words are a little bit hard amigajenni!!! I dont like so much The Cure until Show fron today, but I think that will be good see the band playing again, I can never see The cure Live!
good time...

Boris Williams is an inpiration for lots of drummers. His drum patterns are a musical composition by themselves!

I still love this. When Gallup hits the first few bass notes (3:04) turning "Tape" into "Open", i still get goosebumps, every time.

When Boris and Porl left the band back in 1994, The Cure began to die.
Jason joined and he is killing the band quicker!
jason cooper sucks
boris williams is the best drummer for The Cure!
