Valve Hammer Editor - Decal Tutorial

Once I place the decal, its shows up with a green red blue thing in the 3D world. How can I remove these ? It's hard to work with blue green red things everywhere on the map and the fps drops down aswell. Please help :)

when i apply the decals and test the map ingame they are invisible, there is any fix for this?

You can get coloured decals too! Just search "decals" in the material browser.

@vhetutor probably like making a texture. learn the exact colour that is invisyble in-game and make a square. then inside draw whatever you like and save it. it must be 32x32, 64x64 or 128x128 (I think). then use a program named wally to import the texture in a wad file or make your own wad file.

This is goldsrc (not source) which is T by default.

Instead of putting {, in the search, set it to only display textures from the decal.wad, decals actually can be colored, they just have to be in the decal.wad file.

1- put the "{" in browse and some textures come up but when i click ona surface it is like flashing (partly viasble

1: This might be a pressision issue with the settings on your grafic card, it shoudn't happen in game though.
