  • Dear 82nd Airborne Officer;

    Being a "Mustang" myself, I can relate to the sentiment expressed, but the title of my biography of Bill Cramsie reflects the fact that he was the first member of his West Point class to be killed in action. That class earned more combat decorations and lost more of its members in combat than any other West Point class in history. They were far from "Ring Knockers". Bill Cramsie died heroically and I'm proud to be able in a very small way to honor his memory.

  • The First to Fall is not a Ring Knocker. The first to fall is a grunt.

    A young 2LT , with a Platoon with the 101st in RVN,

  • Beautilully done Wayne. Not only do you honor Bill and his msmory but you shine a light on all the men who flew this aircraft. The photo of the A20 airborne chilled me for the first time, feeling for a second what it must have been like to be in the nose of that plane in a fight. Thanks for what you have done, can't wait to pass the news around on the book.
