  • that's my pastor!

  • We need more pastors like him, to tell the truth and not be ashamed of the truth. Whenever I'm in Dallas, I always flock to Friendship West. Because this is one brother (despite his color) who is not afraid to tell the truth. Preach Freddie!!!!

  • Paster Haynes is a 3rd generation preacher. He takes after his grandfather, Rev F.D.Haynes, Sr, 3rd Baptist Church, San Francisco.

  • Pastor Haynes is my blood cousin..and such an amazing man and very good preacher..Im not just saying that cause we are related..He truely is. It's God working through him..Amen Cousin..Keep doing god's work. Love u and great to see u in San Francisco tonight.

  • hey i wanted to add to what you said.... He's my blood cousin too...Idk if you know my Uncle Gene Haynes who is my moms brother, but thats his first cousin ... well nice to see that my family is on here and that many people see the things that GOD has blessed our family with....GOD BLESS and LOVE you cousin

  • haha..lmao..i know who u are..it's ur sister..dummy..haha..oh man this is funny..haha boom

  • hahahah.....sorry sis i didnt know u had a youtube....lol....my bad man that was soo funny and i felt hecka stupid....but i love u anyways......muah.....stay blessed

  • Now im not sure if i am completeley related to Rev.Frederick Haynes but I am apart of the Haynes lineage. My name is Roderick-Jeremy Haynes and I am from Houston, Texas my father and grandmother are from St.Louis, Mo but he came to speak at Wiley College, the school i attend, and I completely enjoyed his sermon and he may or may not be a realtive but I know this man is a truely blessed man and am glad I carry the same last name as him.

  • Roland Martin's position, fiscal liberal and social conservative, seems like the most faith-based Christian stance.

  • Can anyone stand Roland Martin?

  • I love my pastor!!!! He does SOOOOOOOOO much for the community and this country!!! Thank u Pastor Haynes for taking me under your wings, Praying for me and guiding me while I am up here at school away from home! Love u!

If you havent heard him preach, you need to!!! Awesome men of God!!!!

  • I attend Friendship West baptist Church and Pastor Haynes is an amazing phenomenon Pastor. He speaks the truth the way it is as well as Pastor Jeremiah Wright. The world want to torment the Black Churches but, it's good we have Pastor as Dr. Haynes and Pastor Jeremiah Wright to speak the truth. If you haven't been to any of these churches or heard them preach whole sermons then you should have nothing to say. Go ahead Pastor Haynes and speak it and you will hear nothing but the truth from him.

  • excellent interview with an excellent Pastor. I always liked Roland Martin. I'm glad that is is now representing on CNN.

  • Amen Pastor Haynes. Tell it like it is. Thank you for keeping it real at ALL times.

  • This guy needs to wake up. Jesus did not come to confront social issues. He came to redeem us from the law of sin and death.

The only govt. system he was interested in was the kingdom of God. Thats why the Jews rejected him. They were looking for a social political leader to help them lay off oppressive roman rule and Jesus did not do that.

Yes he would minister to the poor and afflicted. But not because of their color or because of social agenda. Poor people know they need Jesus.

  • You have it all wrong Boo. Jesus came through oppression to deliver the oppressed. Look at his miracles, he was forever healing someone that was considered a downtrodden outcast. Even the parables he gave related to the poor and oppressed. Remember when the rich man asked Jesus how he could get into Heaven? Jesus told him by giving away all of his possessions and following Him. SO while Jesus came to deliver us all from sin, he was confronting social ills at the very same time.

  • Amen!!!

  • My Pastor Haynes

My Pastor is one of the greatest Pastors out in America today. He is about the community fairness/justice in America. We need more pastors to step up and read between the lines of social issues of today. Wrongful imprisonment, health issues and keeping that slave mentality off of black people. Wake up America we still are in a form of slavery on our jobs, some openly and some behind close doors. My pastor is about equality just as Dr King was he makes things happen in dallas tx

  • What would Jesus do?

Well he wouldn't go anywhere near the Southern States of America, that's for sure!!

Let's face it! Jesus is a bearded lefty hippy-radical Jew-boy wearing white robes ...

..... they'ed CRUCIFY him down there!!

  • Freddie Haynes is so good! He was in Bowling Green, KY at Eastwood Baptist Church for our KY Evangelism Conference. He was so good. We have his 3 sermons on tape. Hearing him on this CNN special was a great surprise. Thank you for putting him on!

  • Pastor Haynes is the man he can't be faded.

  • I agree... He was just at my church (Bethel Baptist Institutional Church) this past Sunday for my pastor's (Rudolph Mckissick Jr.) Anniversary. Tha man truly blessed our souls

  • That's my pastor!!!! I love him dearly!!!

  • I attend this mans church..and baby you aint heard nothing yet. That man preach the truth in service I almost threw a shoe at him. What I like about Pastor Haynes is that he is big on our "ROOTS" as black people and he is VERY Pro black.

  • I agree with Randall 2020, I missed taping the show yesterday and would like to see it.

  • He makes some good points. Now I would like to see Roland Martin's December 21, 2007 program on youtube. It included Dave Silberman of American Atheists.

  • I wish there were more videos of Pastor Haynes. Thanks for posting this excerpt.

  • wow!!! whoop there it is haha. its interesting how out of 113 ppl no one has anything to say...

thank you for posting this!!! ive been to pastor haynes church twice now, and it is sooooo refreshing to hear an intellegent black man speak the truth.

  • No Problem Lil' Daddy.

  • Hey Whazam wit cha? i was wondering when I would see Dr. Freddy Haynes III on CNN on You Tube. I see ya finally got it huh bruh? Yeah, ya right.

  • Thanks. I noticed someone else had it posted this but left out his segment for some reason.

  • @ByronLatt of course they left it out! they can't handle the truth!
