I love this movie. They black spectre frogmen are my favorites. If you like them, too, watch my youtube video "Black Rubber Frogmen 6" with many pictures of the black suited frogmen outside the water and all underwater fight scenes.
And they are Coast Guard not navy, but why quibble...I agree with rpd19992003. This video catches my sentiments exactly. Can't wait for number two. I'm new to YouTube but would love to communicate about this.
I don't remember the movie mentioning who they are. All we see is Bond getting into a USCG helicopter and then saying "warn them the target is Miami." That's it. I think one of the interesting things about the good guys is that we don't know who they are!
But is it a personal version of Thunderball battle, isn't it ?¿ Beacause in the battle, hand to hand the aquatroopers are better than spectra's forces and never there ir a difference of two by one to Spectra's Forces....
Hey, all. Thanks for the comments and the feedback. I'm working on a second version of this clip right now. While I'm pleased that most everyone seemed to enjoy it, I never liked that I felt the need to add subtitles. I wanted it to be more self-evident. This second version will hopefully satisfy that.
Ever since I was a child, I always wanted the black-suited bad men to win this fight. I don't know why. Maybe it's because they looked "cooler" to me as a kid. But too bad they lost. Only in the movies. Sigh. :(
I agree, good job putting this together from film and extra footage from the "Boat Show Reel." Early Bonds often had "the big fight scene" near the end of the film and while the good guys always prevailed, there were usually a large number of dead good guys until Bond arrived to help turn the tide and save the day. It would be interesting to see what a couple of other films would look like if treated to BlacksuitedSPECTRE's "What if?" treatment. Goldfinger & You Only Live Twice come to mind.
@max15military Exactly! But the "What if" treatment could change that completely. Blacksuitedspectre did a great job with this and even better with his follow-on production which is just awesome.
In the book Bond's team IS in black, mostly to help the ambush which is at night. The Navy team is armed only with knives fitted to the top of broomhandles, and the enemy, armed with CO2 guns outnumbers them 14 to 12. Each SPECTRE Frogman has his own propulsion backpack, which would allow them greater speed in the fight. How Bond and his team win that battle has always been a mystery to me. The creator of this video has a great deal of wit, and I applaud the use of the 'Boat Show Reel'.

They are wearing orange wet-suits, not red.

@redsuitedaquapara I think the 'good guy' casualties in Goldfinger were marginally light.
