I saw the whole family perform once at a community college near Chicago in the 70's. He's so serious. On the Letterman show he performed and in the interview basically stiffed Dave, not even talking, just sort of looking at him like he just wanted to get out of there so bad and he hated the whole thing it was funny.
I remember seeing Jeff play on Letterman Show. Probably his last! I'm looking for that vid. 'cuz it was with Jennifer assisting Jeff. Song ends. Jeff walks over to the couch to chat with Dave. Dave is drooling and looking at Jennifer, and all he repeats is "who's that gal" or something to that effect. Jeff gets up without a word, and walks off. I fell out of my chair. Dave called for a commercial. Where is that video?
PULEESE! What really makes this song is the lyrics! It's a message!! Otherwise the music is only a backdrop. <i>People get Ready! You don't need no ticket, you just thank the Lord!
Curtis Mayfield wrote us a gift here, but please download from Limewire PGR by Jeff and Rod stewart live, they really did a sweet version together, not on UT. Once you've heard that, watching Jeff horse around with the guitar stuff he added very much as a tribute, makes more sense..xo
