it has from it's original. Every tech upgrade increases how high the number. A wraith in standard will have 3, while the wraith in DM I THINK has either 5 or 7...I think 5.

How to get more stars: Vet- stars for both Spartan and Unit. If you put a three star unteched spartan in a unit it'll get 4 additonal stars, if you put a fully upgraded 3 star...it'll get 7 (Chain gun, implant, laser). One additonal star for each upgrade on the unit, and it's own vet level.

The Wraith unit is the ONLY 15 star unit as it gets a boost in stats to make it worth building compared to the standard tech 3 wraith vs a tech 4 Scorpian/grizzly. Each time you rank up a unit it can recieve an additional star,

A regular Power Turrent tank can have 13 stars...super units add another "tech" level which represents another star. When you look at the wraith it has boosted stats in Deathmatch, which translates into when its jack it gets more stars.

@gunut4 Yes, for each star they receive a boost in Attack(Att) and Defense (Def). The first Veteran Star (which represents a power boost you get from surviving and killing enemy units) gives you a bonus. The first star grants you 15% extra Att & Def, the second star gives you a 25% boost, and the third and last star gives you 35% extra. Also the little shield on your unit (shown in the bottom left corner) represents a star just not a battle/conflict star, and I'm not sure 100% what it gives you.

acquiring those 3 wraiths is not an easy task, you have to admit that.

if you jack a wraith against AI they ALWAYS shoot the vehicle(s) you stole from them first, making it difficult to get the 15 stars. This is just my experience, but I do have 2 general accounts.

Its easy to beat a Wraith with a Grizzly in Deathmatch. Just keep it moving around, you'll dodge half the mortar shots, and you can easily move out of the way of Scorch.

Really depends on if the 14* grizzly moves. If you move the 14* Grizzly the 15* wraith shot is slow and will always miss and its Scorch ability wont do anything. But if both the tanks Stand still then the 15* Wraith will win because of its Scorch doing Massive DPS.

And by fully upgraded leader, I mean full stars, qith all self-upgrades. A disruption bomb can only be thrown once before it's timed out for awhile. Now. I can avoid there first one by walking away, if you don't follow, I can wait for it to go away. >_>

Also, I've had my Chieftan mac blasted four times and survive with just under half health. Lastly, if i can remember corretly, one swing of the buffed up Chieftan will kill an ODST squad. if not, I'm sure the scond swing will.

Dude, I have played Halo Wars tons of times. Out of all my times palyed, i've gotten at least 50 full star, spartan grizzlies altogether. I've also had my fair share of full star spartan wraiths. I know for a fact that the grizzly will win, but thats just what I learned from actually doing it and it could just be that i am really good with the grizzly, but, I then i tried the wraith while a friend did the grizzly, and he won. :D

If a fully upgraded spartan jacks a fully upgraded wraith, you get an 9 star wraith because when spartans jack something they get 3 stars straight away, and each upgrade gives another star, so thats 9 stars, then, you can earn another 6 stars through combat, thats 15. But, if you put a spartan in your own vehicle, you can only get a maximum of 14 stars because you get the extra +1 star from jacking someone elses vehicle in the first place.

@whoohoo1321 Wrong!!! In deathmatch Spartans have five stars and Wraiths have five stars to start. For balancing purposes they made you lose 1 star when you hijack a Wraith. Then the 6 stars come from combat 3 for the Spartan and 3 for the Wraith. Wraiths and Spartans start with five stars because Spartans kick ass, and Grizzly/Scorpion tanks rape Wraiths in standard.

He's right. Your shield is just a shield, you get more health and shielding on the Spartan per upgrade, but this doesn't affect how good the Spartan is in a vehicle. That just depends on how good the vehicle is to start with and how many stars the unit has.

The reason this is hard to do is cause the covey player you steal the wraith from has to have already fully upgraded the wraith before you steal it. It's hard to do against people cause they don't like you stealing stuff and tend to kill it, and hard against ai's cause they don't like to fully upgrade stuff.

okay, one more thing: wraiths are buffed in deathmatch, a fully-upgraded wraith loses to a scorpion in a 1v1. Plus if the scorpion player is smart enough to micro he can dodge the main cannon from the wraith and its Y ability.
