  • How do you render?

  • command R

  • I HAF Two REALLY GOOD QUESTIONs for beginners. ok first. how do you make it so you can put the text over a video clip? and what screen recorder are you using?

  • To put the text over a video put the video under the text in the timeline.

  • How would I create a text box over a video background?

  • can u get that writing on mac at 0:02

  • yeah. use livetype. it comes with fce

  • Why do I have to always render whenever I change anything?

  • Thats just the way Final Cut programs work. Without rendering there would be no visual playback....

  • @QuicklyPlugged

So there's no way of auditioning a video filter? you have to render the selection ...say a ten minute to three hour wait, just to decide, no, you don't want that one? I don't get it....but I should read the manual before moaning I suppose?

There must be the ability to playback before you render otherwise you're building a film blind and unbeknown as to how it's going to turn out? I find that primitive since video editing is ALL about the 'editing' isn't it?

  • @QuicklyPlugged But how come you don't need to render it in this video?

  • @cameraking360 here here!

  • thanks man about the outline thing i always thought it was final cut pro only
