I adored this as i was learning to play the piano i dreamt i would and could play like Sparky, I am now 70 years of age and still practising LOL!!

@wlivings1 Oh golly gosh another septagarian what is a 70 year old called - nice to hear from you, i cannot understand these kids that were spooked by it, they must have greater imaginations that myself; my grandchildren are past that age now and playing all manner of instruments between them which is twelve they could form a small chamber orchestera - now, that is food for thought

Used to sit around the LARGE record player console and listen to this along with the "Talking Train". Loved it! Life was a great deal simpler then, done 40+ years ago.

Still chills the blood after 50 years! This and the Queen in Snow White were scarey for a child, Think it's something to do with early introduction to betrayal and pure evil. 'Modern horror' is a walk in the park.

Wonderful! I had an excerpt from this on a children's tape called All Aboard when I was about three... listening to this just now, once the part I knew kicked in I found I was able to sing along with the piano's voice... memories... thanks for sharing:')

I remember this on 78rpm records. If I rember right it was on 3 records so you had to turn them over or change 6 times to listen to it. Brings back great memories of my childhood.

@deerlands Actually it's really quite demonic.. possession of a piano by a spirit is actually what this really is.But we were none the wiser then. I listened to this as a child and was fascinated..played and played it. Went on 2 develop an interest in the occult..Now I know what the occult is all about, I would not touch this with a barge pole. In fact I just started 2 listen 2 it again after I dont know how many years.. and it sent chills down my spine.. couldnt listen any more. Its dangerous!

Wonderful to hear this again after so many years. My father played it for me as a child and it inspired me to want to play the Piano. Still playing my Piano now, and almost aged 50 years old.

I thought this was very weird even when I was 4 years old but at the same time it fascinated me. I knew pianos did not speak but the pianos voice on this I felt was very strange. Sparkeys 'dream state' really appealed to me. I too still have own the original record, not played it for years though!
