  • @kisuketoshiro34 here have a cookie

  • @Babasaurusrex YAY "glomps you"

  • @kisuketoshiro34 have a cookie

  • plz answer this where do i get The Burning Bow plz answer ASAP

  • @xXD3SP3RADOXx You have to kill the Dive talon in the Westersand

  • Are you a wizard?

  • on your videos i uses to be able to hear you but i can hear you speaking jiberish i think ive done some thing please tell me if you know

  • What, are you hearing a low volume or something? If so, check your headphones/speakers - one of them might be out causing the vocal track to not be audible. You can verify this by adjusting the balance toward the left.

  • @ulillillia it worked thanks now i can hear your voice

  • @ulillillia You can also fix this by mixing your vocals to the center. Getting a better microphone and using a pop filter. You might also want to project your voice better. There is a massive amount of "Fuzz" coming from the background of our vocal track. Also you might want to look into getting "Adobe Audition" to record your vocal track. As a person who makes videos it shouldn't be the viewers job to change their settings which are probably factory defaults, It just makes your video skills meh

  • The "fuzz" in the background is from my speakers and case. To make the voice more audible, I amplify the recorded audio 8 dB.

  • @ulillillia If you amplify the voice it distorts it. Especially by 8 dB. I suggest getting a better microphone asap. Their not expensive. Also you should turn your speakers off or use headphones when you're recording if this is the case of the "Fuzz". Try getting quieter fans for your PC case. Get a mic stand, pop sheild and a 20 - 40 dollar mic. Mount the mic and pop that shield infront of it. You'll be sounding like a pro in no time. Your videos are great. Just a few tips make it sound better.

  • The 8 dB amp actually rarely causes the waveform to max out. Some parts, especially when I get loud, are maxing out. The distortions could be your speakers being defective. I've had to return a TV because of this. To verify that that's the case, use an equalizer and reduce everything by 6 dB to see if the distortion goes away. If it does, then it's your speakers - replace them. If it has no effect, then it could be this video - try another video. They all sound fine to me.

  • @ulillillia No mater what they amplify by the voice will get distorted due to the fact your changing the volume of the voice. You seem to not understand the definition of "Distortion". I'm trying to give you advice and you keep coming back at me like you know it all. My speakers are 400 quids worth and my headphones 120 quid. So please. If more then 1 person is having this volume problem. It's probably due to your not so good mixing skills and poor mic. Just listen and maybe you'll get a good

  • Very few appear to have this problem. What few that due tend to have one of their headphones out. Amplification does not cause problems. There are slight mathematical inaccuries due not using an infinite number of bits, but the difference is too slight to be noticed. Thus, the problem likely has to be on your end. Outside occasional very slight speed changes to line up the audio with the video (and this is less than 1%), I don't edit anything else. What's a "quid"?

  • @ulillillia A quid is a british pound sterling.

  • @ulillillia a Quis refers to a Pound(UK Currency). As in £1.

  • @jacobite19 quid even lol!

  • @ulillillia sounding mic soon.

  • 10000000000000000000000000000 Hours !

  • That's millions of times older than the universe so that's impossible.

  • how you become the bow on beginn

  • who would spend 100 hours of their lives leveling up? dont tell me that its to speed through the story. it doesnt take even a child 100 hours to beat a game so your spending more time just leveling up then you would going through the story. not to be rude im just saying

  • I'm an extreme powerleveler. If you haven't seen my Disgaea videos, you should. I've, with essentially no story progress, otherwise ripped that game. I even hold the world record for the largest single target damage - over 11 billion. That's done without advancing the story beyond reflection pond, chapter 1 (the very beginning basically - I'm supposed to be dealing with level 2 enemies, not 9999 and yet, even the game's most powerful enemy I've seen is a wimp).

  • hacks noob vai toma no cú filho da putaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • i just wanna ask if u go to dustia where is it and could u use pheonix doowns to get to lvl 99 by using phenix downs

  • Dustia is only effective at a level around 30 to 50. From there, other methods become faster. I otherwise don't know much about dustia.

  • @ulillillia i'm at lvl 39 after 13.30 hours do i need to get immobolise for best progress

  • If you're using the 40-hour method, immobilize is required. You won't have access to it if using the 70-hour method.

  • @ulillillia think i'll try the 70 hour method. i stole gladius off linbur wolf and each attack against werewolves is between 1400 and 1600 as they are weak against its elemental attack. then its off to westersand.

  • I've always used the burning bow on the werewolves. This is because, if you do it right, you won't even have to worry about taking hits. Just strike and get away. The werewolves will return to their patrol - just strike again, preferrably the one you just damaged. If the one you just damaged goes down, the other werewolf won't do anything - you can strike it without needing to get away first. Once you do strike, get away immediately. You shouldn't need to use cure with this.

  • @ulillillia burning bow is the best. i just tried gladius for variety and the fact you dont have to have full hp to do same damage. btw i tried the dustia method earlier in the game and just needed another hit to bring hp below 10%. so i set attack self and did a 3 hit combo and bye bye to previous 45 minutes of exp. it just didn't work for me.

  • This is the danger of the dustia method - it's very risky but at level 10 or so, it's insanely fast for leveling up. Once you get at least level 18, this is when you should go for the burning bow. You could even skip the step where you get the rod if you're good at running.

  • @ulillillia thanks for the feedback. Is the minerva bustier a drop or a steal? i've tried stealing for a while and no joy. Some other faqs say drop.

  • I'm not sure - if it's one of the high rank items, chances are, it's covered in the "afterward" section of my FF12 powerleveling guide on GameFAQs.

  • como passa da misão da fra

  • 2 people are still at level 1. good job with all your patience though :)

  • i dont understand why people would waste so much time in getting to level 99 late or this early, if you spent all those hours doing that you coul have made about 2000 from any job

  • lol there's an even easier way..there's a cheat and all characters are lvl 99 even from beginning..good thing I saved my 100 hours..there's also money cheat and liscense cheat

  • oh...my...god....

  • i'm gonna do this and i'm gonna do the 70 hour way only problem is i can't find my final fantasy disc :(

  • wat lv u think i should be on before i do that?

  • Do what? Without knowing where you are in the story, I really can't answer that too well.

  • one really big qustion how do u get the really good wepons that early

  • Once you obtain the dawn shard you can get the kind of weapons and armor you'd expect after visiting the Great Crystal. It does take some effort, but who'd want to pass up the maximillian, defender, zodiac spear, crown of laurels, golden skullcap, and other such high-rank items? You will need to level up a lot to even stand a chance. See my GameFAQs Powerleveling guide for details on how to obtain them, the "afterward" section in particular.

  • That's not quite enough points to fill in the license board. You need 15,180 to fill it in completely for each character.

  • My Brady Games guide says that it takes 13,180 to get every license, not including the 1705 in one-time panels (espers and quickenings - about 284 LP more per character for an average, still under 13,500). The 70-hour method gives from 24,000 to 28,000 LP, enough clear the board twice over. The 40-hour method only gives 6000 to 8000 LP, only enough to clear half the license board.

  • you are like my inspiration to keep trying to get that burning bow its like impossible to me

  • men in my version i cant use all the weapons. there are specializations (machinist, knight, uhlan, etc).

    which version is this one?

is this a newer or an older verison?

    :(

  • I would suggest doing dustia till your Garamsythe part... I watched your videos on how to get lvl 99 easily and after 5hours only lvl 11, I'm on 5hours of gameplay and I'm lvl 41 with Dustia method. Your part of Garamscythe is good tho(didnt test it yet, surely will).. Dustia is sure risky, but if you're being cautious it's easy. you get about 1kill/10sec and you can make alot of money from it too. But as I said I "think" your garamscythe part is faster(almost 3k/mobs=3xdustia).

  • I get around 9000 exp/min making Garamsythe Waterway twice as fast. Still, you sacrifice Balthier and Fran not being level 99. Are you sure it's 10 seconds? 16 seconds seems more accurate - it takes about that long just to load the 2 zones and another 6 or so to hand it a phoenix down, wait for the defeat, grab the item, then quickly zone out. Still, that's 4100 exp/min but you have to repeatedly buy more phoenix downs. By level 80, my dive talon method becomes slightly (~5%) faster.

  • what bow is the strongest other tha the saggitarius bow

  • I don't know, but I think it might be the perseus. I've never had the saggitarious bow though and by then, I'm in favor of the masamune on a berserked character with the others using the zodiac spear and the party leader using a rod.

  • @ulillillia after i got to lv 50 or so on the leveling 70 hour thingy.... i gave up... i felt i was wasting too much time.

  • You don't have to do it all in one go. The 70-hour method is a very tedious process and comes with a monstrous downside - the extreme repetition you've just reached your limit on. There is an alternative method, the 40-hour method. My GameFAQs guide explains the pros and cons between the two methods. The 70-hour method is the most advantegous, but the extreme repetition required is often too much for anyone to handle.

  • @ulillillia true though i did it in a few days... or so.... i just had certain reasons on giving up on it.

i often want to get leveling down so i dont have to deal with it later...

but then again i never set a goal in the first place.

message me..... so we can talk more.

  • "I don't know though... yet." Your lines are great.

  • After you get the Burning Bow,where do you go for levelling up?

  • See my "how to get level 99 fast & early" series for details. The burning bow is stage 5 of the process. This means stage 6 would be what you'd reference.

  • @ulillillia Thanks for the reply.

  • @ulillillia But there is no immobilise at this point in the the game,so how do I kill the werewolves.

  • The burning bow does a surprising amount of damage. Get to around level 25 or so then the werewolves become more worthy. You should be doing around 700ish damage by then and the warewolves have 2000ish so you should be able to fell them in 3 hits, occasionally 4. Besides, with the HP+500 and HP+200 licenses, the 200 damage they do (600 with smite of rage, used only when HP critical) isn't much. Use hi-potions and/or run if you have to. This should get you started.

  • @ulillillia Thanks for the help.

  • aff lvl 98,q bosta eu to all 99 com as armas lendarias kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk 68 de atk kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk eu to eim 150 atk

  • I know you've probably been asked this before but have you ever considered taking up an MMO? This video really shwos your willingness to grind which would lead to great success within something like WoW. Heck, you could even make the money you're spending to play the game back by farming gold, which is something most people aren't willling to do but you seem to almost enjoy the tedium of grinding. Really I think you'd thrive in an MMO. You should consider it.

  • It's the fact that MMO's are strictly online-based - you can't play them without an internet connection and I don't trust games that require the internet in order to run. Besides, in a somewhat recent Scientific American article, I read that farming things like this are often against the terms of use and will result in the account being suspended.

  • @ulillillia ah...okay. That's understandable.

While I'm suggesting things, have you ever considered playing the Shin Megami Tensei games? You might have overlooked them because they're M rated but honestly other then some mature themes in the plot and some odd enemy design they aren't too bad. Not really all that much worse than FF. Those are games that you could lose yourself in for years. Same goes with the Digaea games. I'd just love to see some videos of you breaking those :)

  • u know at 1:08 when he said you can only one hit them on a critical. If u ur self are on critical hp ur damage is soo much more. im on level 75 with burning bow, winged helmet, bronze armour and battle harness and i can one bop them sometimes. about 1/3 of the time.

  • im now leel 90 in about 65 hours :P nearly there

  • finally! some one that didnt use dustia to level up! i thought i was alone. i did it on another profile and that was it.

  • I find the dustia method too risky and dangerous that makes it not worth it. I don't see how you can get all the way into that area on just level 10 or even 15, and that's with the rod and hi potions.

  • @ulillillia do you know hwerei can find dustia?

  • It's somewhere in the Westersand area. You have to have 10% HP remaining in order to encounter it, which is why it's so dangerous and risky.

  • @ulillillia meaning how much hp exatcly?like when is red?

  • HP goes red at 20%. It's incredibly easy to determine how much 10% is - just drop the ones digit (4186 becomes 418). Have this much or less and, in some area, dustia should come out. If you're doing this at level 20ish, where you're likely to have 700ish HP, you're left with 70 or less to get dustia, so little that you can get defeated in one hit with the enemies in the Westersand area. This is why I find it so dangerous and excessively risky, considering that Vaan is all alone.

  • I'm currently being able to kill the other monsters in about 2 hits, as i think i only hit about 400? maybe more, I'm not sure.. i know i can one hit wolves with ease. - I keep fighting the divetalon near the save point in the westersand.. but what i find effective is, the enemies respawn, if you save your game and exit the game, go back onto the title..reload your game, and there back! effective rather than hopping 2 zones away :) - I enjoy watching your guides, there extremely helpfull :)

  • I have another guide coming, explaining how to reach level 99 early. I figured out the reset method about a day or two before I read your comment. In that video, I'm getting the burning bow... at level 17. It's easier to do it at that low of a level than you think it is.

  • Was just wondering, when is the guide your talking about going to be uploaded onto youtube? :)

  • I'll start the uploading of it today. It's got nearly 2 hours to go before the archived version is processed then another 2 to 3 hours before the YouTube segmentation is done. After all YouTube segments are done, the uploading begins. It's Sunday so if my parents don't get me into housework by then, you should, hopefully, see the first segments by about 7:00 PM CST (1:00 AM UTC) - 6 hours after I posted this reply.

  • Im currently still playing ff12, I'm level 30. at the same part of this video, I just find it a tad boring as i'm still not able to defeat dive talons without using quickenings yet - i look forward to this new video, and hopefully it'll be a quicker way to get higher levels :). Thank you.

  • I'm processing stage 2 of the YouTube segments as I'm posting this. There's about 7 or 8 stages to the process. The last stage is the most tedious but when you think about it, it's more than twice as fast as the method I used earlier. That earlier method is part of the process, but only to about level 40 to 50.

  • Ah i get it now, I thought about playing ff9 again, so im playing that.. any tips on a good training area for that? :D!

  • Grand dragon, accessible during disk 1, is the best and only worthy way to get level 99 in reasonable time on disk 1. In Treno, buy the reflect ring (for the "auto-reflect" ability), and those other items there - fight Mandragoras for the gil (and some easy experience - you'll have Marcus in the party). There's a hidden passage in Gizamaluke's Grotto near a vine where the save moogle is. Bring LOTS of phoenix downs before attempting. Follow my tips in my "grand dragon made easy" video too.

  • Ah right okay.. I only have:

Zidane, Freya, Vivi, Quina - and im doing alright, already got them over 10 levels :) - so im doing fine i suppose haha, it's the killer Thundaga they keep throwing at me, and im like AHHH don't hit them all. I've followed your tips aswell, i always do aha! AND ok thanks for the help.

  • With auto reflect, grand dragon's thundaga is completely harmless. In fact, it does the reverse. While it doesn't harm or heal your characters, it'll actually harm grand dragon itself.

  • You could also use coral ring as it absorbs thunder which heals you after a physical attack. FF9 was great.

  • If you're defeated in one or 2 hits, the coral ring is of little use. Besides, by having it reflect back on the dragon, you can concentrate on either attacking or revival, whichever is more important (revival first). Thundaga is a magic attack.

  • I've just obtained the burning bow (at lvl 22) it was a struggle as the dive talons decided not to drop it, I've got a couple of onion arrows aswell, and now i think i'm level 23.. I'm also following your techniques, but they are useless until a level high enough to manage dive talons massive attk damage. Until then, im stuck fighting the other monsters, worthless i know.. but until level 30 odd.. Im stuck :) any suggestions for me? :D

  • Dive talons indeed do about 500 damage (due to the lack of effective armor). You should be felling urstrixes, sleipnirs, and alraunes in 1 hit so wander around the Westersand area defeating these. 263 exp may seem like much, but since you can one-hit these, the experience comes very quickly. If you have the "immobilize" spell (unavailable until after the Nalbina Dungeons event) and the "martyr" license (which increases magic power with full HP), then immobilze werewolves and dive talons.

  • did you make a separate back-up file

  • Yep, and even though I've now completed the game (including defeating Yiazmut in under 5 hours (I had lots of trouble with instant death and the enemy making massive combos for the last 5 million HP - the game seems to lack protection against instant death, otherwise, I'd have had it in about 4 hours.)). I have yet to process the more than 30 segments I have and now I've started a new game with the intent on having the most HP and MP possible and reaching level 99 in under 75 hours, 60 target.

  • Are you ever going to play final fantasy X?

  • wow, wonderful im just level 45!!! the 99 is so far away but i know im able to reach level 99 if i follow your example

  • If you've completed the Nalbina Dungeons event, and gotten rid of Balthier and Fran, leaving Vaan alone for the last time, get the immobilize spell, a burning bow, and use the Garamsythe Waterway to gain levels - it's much faster, nearly 3 times faster by about level 60 or 70. You may get level 99 with Vaan alone with just 50 hours of game play....

  • Wow that's quite the amazing achievement there! How high was your motive for getting to level 99?

  • hows the game dev going ulillillia

  • I should see if I can find this game somewhere, looks like a game I'd love

  • thats pretty awesome man..im lvl 26 i think an i gotta talk to dalan. i gotta question though..why do u need to get the rod?..i went right to barheim passage i think it was and got a bow there..not nearly as strong as the burning bow but its worked for me so far

  • Note that this is done before first getting Penelo, before the Sunstone-making event. At this point, your options are severely limited. Stores only go out to a sword that would do 50 damage at level 5. The rod triples that damage which makes the enemies in the Westersand easy to manage, since they have 600 to 700 HP and worth about 260 exp each. With quickenings, dive talons, worth 2000 exp, can be used to obtain a weapon (burning bow) that's the most powerful for the next 1/3 of the game.

  • ulillillia would you mind only panning your audio abit to the right and left instead of sending both signals straight to left and right. It hurts my ears as I wear headphones.

  • Turn the volume down if you use headphones. I've set up the audio the way I have it for years. Changing the balance can be used to filter out a particular sound, whether it's the vocal track or the game's audio. I do it that way for convenience.

  • dink

    dink

  • Let me guess, I forgot to crop the lead-in part out again somewhere....

  • it makes the video even better

  • another fine job ulillillia, i've got to pick this game up again and finish it.

  • Très bon travail^^

  • btw you can´t get to lv100. I have already tried to see what happends when you max out the EXP. Nothing happends.

  • My Balthier and Fran (seen in part 3 and/or 4) has max experience.

  • I will watch as soon as it is up on youtube! ^^

  • Is it just me, or are comments disappearing? There was one comment that had just "ground floor", but it's no longer present and I don't see the "comment removed by author" notice either. I'm uploading part 2 right now.

  • yes it is the same for me. Very strange indeed.

Is this file finnished once you have all characters or will you play through the game all the way?

  • I intend on playing all the way through. However, I do have the idea of reaching the point where Balthier and Fran leave the party leaving Vaan alone for the last time. I'm thinking of trying out the extreme HP case, such has having Vaan with 7500 HP as his base, as opposed to about 5300. MP I don't care for although it would be interesting to see if you can have more than 999 MP. In my first play, Vaan had 6600 HP and 900 MP. This play has him with 6266 and 801 MP.

  • ground floor

  • Comment removed

  • I've explained in this segment (or, at least, I think I have) that, by saving immediately before a level up, getting it, then resetting the console to try again and pick the HP/MP boost that is the biggest possible. I have no idea if equipment gives any stat bonuses, like with FF9. My first play had Vaan end with 6600 HP and I estimate the maximum possible is about 7500.... This would make it 8500 with the licenses and potentially over 10,000 with the best light armor.

  • Equipment doesn't, but unlike other games in the series, where the bonus had equal chances of being the smallest or biggest, FFXII is biased towards giving the smallest HP bonus every level up. It is in the game mechanics guide of gamefaqs.
