I don't see any mistakes, except using his personal phone at work... Wasting his minutes while he can use the hotel reception phone for his personal stuff and make him look busy! :p
Whenever sonebody asks for a key, I always askfor ID, even if I know the person. I am a baseball fan, and one of my hero's has always been TOMMY LASORDA. When he stayed at my hotel, even though I was dying to ask for an autograph, it was against the rules. I even had to ask him for ID whenhe lost his key. I was going to "borrow" his registration card for my personal collection, but he had his business manager sign it instead!
@Zina011 -It's a safety issue. You never know who is watching or listening. Even if there is no one else in the lobby. I would never say a room number out loud. Especially if it is a lone female.
@DJChibbs we have people that come in late all the time and I don't get how they keep their jobs plus they sit in the back office when people are in the lobby and they don't finish the laundry even though 3/4 of their shift they have nothing to do it's so crazy

doesn't offer help with the luggage
saying "see ya" to the guest!!!!!

What's wrong with wearing iPod to work if he uses the employee entrance and leaves it in the locker room?
I had no idea you're not supposed to say the room number out loud, it's actually a part of the procedure at a four-star hotel I used to work.

I'm guessing that changing into his work clothes once he gets there is supposed to be one of the "sins" but I don't see a problem with that at all...
