This is all cool, but it doesnt have Duke feeling at all. It is too light, it should be dark, but other than that nice work, but now that we have Frederiks project "Duke Nukem 3D: Reloaded" i guess this one here wont go any further. :P Frederiks project will bring the whole Duke Nukem 3D to Unreal Engine 3.

God I want an HD remake of this game... The high res version just doesn't do it for me... The midi music tracks just aren't as good as the original ones. If Duke 3D was re-created using the COD 4 engine I would probably be able to die happy.

Technically, even if 3d realms owned the rights, you can still remake all of the first episode cause it is shareware. Take the Classic Doom 3 mod for example, they recreated the whole first episode and didn't get into trouble cause it was shareware. Or it can be called Freeware sometimes.

Very nice work, the textures and models are very impressive. You should work for a gaming company. I wouldn't suggest 3d realms since they committed suicide, but at least DNF is being revived and you'd do well in there.

Oh and two more things- bsp-wise the level is basically complete. I've completely(manually) remodeled the interior of the theater as a 1:1 clone of the original.

It probably won't stay that way, as I'm only using it as a template for the final design....

And the other thing is that the level is running on the Unreal 3 engine and I am using the Unreal Tournament 3 Editor as my means of creation.

Intriguing setup.. what do you have in mind for weapon spawns, character spawns, and lighting?

Im a UT2004 player so i understand the basics. XD

well, i already have the HH user maps that were made for ut 99 and ut2k4, so i might "base" the spawn points off of one of those. as for the weapons locations, it'll pretty much be identical to the original's. so for example you'll find the rocket launcher in the "secret" hole right underneath "innocent?" billboard, the flak canon in the closet to the right behind the snack counter(replacing the shotgun, if you remember), and all items such as armor in their respective spots.

Spawn points should be strategically placed, like behind the ticket counter, and on top of the fire.

Nice of you to ask dude, well if you seen the video made by me called DNF 2008 Trailer Sample it'll give you a good article to read. Besides they are releasing Duke Nukem 3D next month on 360 Live Arcade to get people to know Duke again and such. Then you have the director George himself giving hints at the forums for a Trailer this year along with Scott, they were taking ideas for it a couple months back. There's so much data pointing to a Trailer this year and DNF releasing in 2009!! DNF!!
