I don't think the AN Family segments exist except for one still shot of the word FAN being blown away, but I'm certain at least the other Letter M/W segment with Herbie exists on YouTube somewhere. The best lines from that segment... Herbert: "Are you gonna' turn upside down or not?" Letter M: (Blows Raspherries). Also note, that letter M had little drops of liquid or water going down as it flipped around. I don't know why that was done. Usually SS used strings for their letters.
Did poor Grover eat one too many jars of peanut butter by mistake? I remember this old clip!! I think he needs one litter of milk to get rid of that 'glue'.
I've learned something interesting about Herbert Birdsfoot. Most of the named Lavender Muppets on Sesame Street who people don't forget that easily were Large Live Hands (look to Muppet Wiki for deatils). But not Herbert. He was just a typical lavender puppet. He and Polly Darton are probably the two best remembered lavender puppets.
I agree with you. I can tell that if kids today saw this skit, they'd learn that Springfield is somewhere near Sesame Street after seeing a Muppet that closely looks and sounds like Homer's neighbor rather than what the letter M sounds like. Poor Grover,though...
I know. I'd like to jump into the video and help Grover get his mouth open again and wipe his lips clean of the peanut butter. But he shouldn't just stand there crying. He ought to follow Herbert. I'm sure he has a wet washcloth or something at his house.
Grover:(relieved): O.K. Thanks, Herb.

Why doesn't Grover just pull his mouth open himself? He's got two hands. Why does he need somebody else to do it?

As soon as Herbert pulled Grover's mouth open from the peanut butter, what was that sound from 1:20-1:21? It sounded a little like water draining.

Doesn't Herbert look like Ned Flanders a bit?

It's interesting that Grover's "mmmm"s are noises he often makes anyway.

Poor Grover. What was he supposed to do? I guess he should have kept his mouth opened.

Poor Grover. What was he supposed to do? Have his mouth open all the time without shutting it?

Poor Grover...when I was a kid this skit stressed me out because I thought nobody was ever going to help Grover get his mouth unstuck at the end.
