Me to pass it it'S easy I stick a surveyor up front their base with two obelisks already prepared and sell everything when the planes come & repeat

WHAT A HELL maybe is a old version because when i start the mission i start with COMMANDO and i had to shoot 2 engineers and after that to protect a base and destroy GDI forces (i'll show you the vid in 1 week)

@TheWoried i think you are mistaking this for the mission before, slovenia. that mission's beginning is more in line with what you are saying...did it have avatars and juggernauts?

This level is impossible. I never get time to build up my troops due to the continuing attacks from the other nod bases. I can;t find any cheat codes either

@tornadoe13 haha your crap then sorry i know you posted that comment a year ago and im in december 2011 but what you do is you know the entrances to the nod compound you build obelisks on them on all sides of the outer walls and air defenses behind the outer walls and your good to go from there

I don't get it, why every country has it's own name but in Bosnia they marked it as capital town Sarajevo. If it's like they made a mistake and thought that country's name was Sarajevo...

In Patch 1.09 they remove the Avatar from the start, this is why you don't have it anymore :)

I believe it may be those who have version 1.9 don't get the avatar in the NOD Sarajevo mission.

I have retail and got the avatar the first few times. When I updated fully to 1.9, there is no more avatar.

I waited out the GDI attacks, then the bitch and her team bust in and I take out one of there bases with 5 Avatars they beat me with Air power, AA guns suck for NOD.

Yeah, this is kind of funky. If I didn't attack right away, I think it would wander around where you are not looking and get killed when you are not looking. I thought it was a glitch at first.

BUILD A FCKIN WAR FACTORY AND TECH LAB TO GET AVATARS!! idiots....dont destroy the gdi base cuz alexa kovacs will do it for u.anyway dont waste ur money on ground units,build only defense WITHIN the borders of the base,and vertigo bombers,and then bombard alexa's bases to hell... mission over.

i always get a hit on the tank for some reason???? but i dont go all the way east i turn up at the tiberium and get a safe passage 2 the mission way point :P hehe but i always get literaly 50 attack bikes then attack the gdi base and then the 2 other nod teams come how the hell do u destory them there worse then the gdi team -_- i userly destory half a base but then they destory mine -_- anyways

I still didn't manage to get the titan at the beginning of this mission. So I was thinking: in one or two missions before this one you have to use some titans and tanks to get the truck safely up one hill (I forgot the name of the mission). Could it be that if you finish that mission with no titans still standing you don't get one in mission 9?

Yeah, I said I changed the mode to easy, 'cause I was playing on hard before (and still am). I thought it could be the Kaine Edition content, but I turned it off and still didn't get the avatar. Maybe it's one of the last update changes.

Yes, it's called Patch 1.09 :-) No towers from cranes anymore.

Oh, I guess I have that same patch. After patching the game to 1.09, did you get the Titan at the beginning of this mission, like in this video?

No, it's the other way around. Patch 1.09 took out a lot of stuff. For instance, with 1.01 you could do towers from cranes, with 1.09, you can't anymore. I guess the titan was dropped too.

I mean, the Avatar. The Titan is the GDI equivalent.

Oh, must be that then. What a stupid idea, it's impossible to complete the first optional mission without the avatar.

Well, it is possible... At least on normal difficulty. But I take a dozen trials before I hit a run. The timing and positioning has to be perfect... It's either the sonic turret or the two FRIGGIN ANNOYING two predators who come hell bent on hitting one at the truck. That's all they want. Have been programmed to thwart the optional quest.

I used to prefer going west, managed to get some runs there. But the last two times I succeded were through the east. So I get the two tanks head on.

I always play on hard. Seems like every freaking unit is after the truck, just so I don't complete the bonus objective. I haven't played C&C3 in some time, since I got stuck in this damn mission. Hope they launch a new patch to ease this mission and make this objective possible.

i must admit this mission is way easier than GDI's sarajevo mission against NOD lol, mostly cuz in this one u have to first beat beat GDI then 3 traitor NOD bases =O

which is to make sure the truck is completely unharmed

lol...the bright side is it is at the beginning of the mission so you can just keep playing with it until you finally get it right. I have heard of others taking a different route, but once you get the delayed moving of the truck down, then pausing before you hit the second group of troops, it's not that bad.
