Well, here's the thing about Marvel Divas, imho: what we have here is a comic written by a gay guy for a gay audience who happens to like both super-heroes and Sex & the City, and that's a very small niche to say the least. Think fierce and bitchy and all that jazz. Boring clichés. I doubt this was really the pitch, but that's how it reads to me. And keeping in mind that Sex & the City is kinda stupid in the first place, there was no way it could have ended up well. But the art is very nice.

put them in a pile until the pile is too big and then bag and board them and sort them into the boxes. I have long boxes right now but Im switching to short boxes because they are just WAY BETTER. REVOLUTION!!

Also, i agree on the time travel statement. Half of the time, it is stupid! However, for Booster Gold, there are rules, which makes sense. However, for Marvel's time travel, "whatever works for the story," which anger readers, but it is great for writers. By the way, I am really, really digging Catwoman series now! I am reading the Ed Brubaker's run now, but wow!! If Nolan adds Catwoman to the movie, the actress better be good!

Good review. I agree with Cable statement, the artists range from bad to mediocre.

Bad Kids go to Hell is just Breakfast Club meets the Poltergeist, which is okay, because I hate those archetypes,and I like to see them put to hell

Marvel Divas just make me angry, because as a Sex and the City Fan, I was upset on the fact that it was a verbatim of the show. Brings up a point,I know that you there should not be a gender separation for favoring comic books, but what do you want from a comic books?

Agreed on Bad Kids, but it could go somewhere cool. Im not a big SITC fan, but either way it stinks. I want interesting, challenging stories, good art and dynamic plots. Just like everyone else.

I think with marvel divas they were trying to appeal to the shojo manga audience. But they are obliviously misinformed on the figures and demographics on this.

Just wondering have you been picking up the weekly X-men/Avengers mini event Utopia, its ok so far. When I read Dark X-men #1 I thought eris will like this, where else will you find naked Namor in the shower with conveniently placed steam and shadows. The issue on the whole is par despite the amazing front cover art.

Its good to see I am not the only one that buys a huge stack of comics. Although I didnt buy Marvel Divas, which was written by a man. It is very confusing what Marvel is trying to do with the book, but I think they are trying to gear it towards female readers and maybe trick some guys into buying it with a sexy cover. I agree with Tiger in that Gotham City Sirens was an enjoyable book with a lot of potential.

You should check out Gotham Sirens. Stuff happens in it and it's funny.

Talk about Alfred's age. Look at Bruce Wayne. Even if you say Bruce was 25 when he started and got Robin after a year and a half. That makes him like 26 or 27. And Dick was 12. Then lets say Dick is 17 when he leaves and Jason dies a year later. That makes Bruce 33. then lets say there's another year before tim becomes Robin. Tim was 9. tim is now like 17. So that means Bruce is like 45 now and so Alfred must be REALLY old.

It's not THAT old beyond hte fact that he's drawn like he's like he's 27. And what I ment is if you think about it If Alfred was 20 when Bruce was born he'd be 65. but he's drawn in flash backs like HE would be 40 when Bruce was young. So yeah he would be like 85. 1) marvel does the same thing w / AuntMay as d.c. does w / Alfred, no matter what, they won't let them age beyond a certain point.

2) l don't how they do it, but w / MarvelDivas, they seem 2 have messed up on two fronts: 4 the ladies it seems that all l've heard is despite the hype 2 the contrary....ladies just don't relate 2 this comic & 4 the cheesecake lovers,as l've said b4 elsewhere guys see the interiors and wonder why the artist used 14yr old boys 2 pose for the 4 women!!
