  • Anyone who is making the case for keeping all your wealth and possession are just trying to justify their existence, which is typical for us Americans. Jesus repeatedly asked for everything from us. By the way, I am an ex wealthy WASP, until I carefully asked Jesus to show me "the way". The enemy is in the pulpit preaching that we can go on living like we always have, and keep all our stuff, and not use it for Kingdom work. We will pay a price for this selfishness.

  • Spirit lead men in Acts 2 and 4 sold everything. Not just some of the people, but ALL of the people. Jesus said in Luke 14:33 " you cannot be my disciple unless you sell (forsake) all your possessions. 1 John 3:16-18 says it best. If you have the world's goods and don't give them to a brother in need, the love of God is not in you. Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth. The rich have had their reward. The list goes on and on.

  • Amen Brother. i have been tryna convey this to so many people. that there is no poverty Gospel in the bible!! Christians are supposed to be blessed and even the riches people in the world! but some preachers are using this for their personal benefits. God Bless

  • @modim3 blessed with what, cattle, food, shelter, wives ,children or fancy cars big house or paper money If the financial markets totally collapse who would be GOD then.Goverment cotrols the money so The government controls your prosperity.

  • @ashonpar3 Well thanks for asking! :)FIRST OF ALL Gods definition of blessed is different from ours. Here are some scriptures to prove that check em out.Colossians 1:27,1 Chronicles 29:12, Ephesians 3:16 and lastly Ephesians 1:3. Now when you read these you will see that God blessing can be spiritual all the provision u mention,no matter what is going on in the world the kingdom of God is not affected. Remeber what happened when Jesus multiplied the bread and fishes? yup thats Kingdom blessings

  • @modim3 See back in the bible being blessed was the number of cattle, fertile land, water food kids things that were natural...Big cars, Big nice homes these are wordy possessions. And i read the whole chapters of those scriptures and you took them out of context.

  • @ashonpar3 to reply to this statement about what being blessed meant back in the O.T days, Abraham was blessed both spiritually and physically read Genesis my friend. Genesis 26:4 And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give to your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;.Hence forth you see God wasnt talking about Natural things only But the messiah and the salvation he would bring! In christ Jesus is all Blessings

  • @modim3 being blessed is the Same Old testament or New it dont change GOD dont change.Youe are blessed by the number cattle , wives, and the multiplication of kids.In other words how big your family is and were you able to take care of them successfully like LOT

  • @ashonpar3 you didnt read what i said! Abraham was blessed both spiritually and physically read Genesis my friend.

  • @modim3 Read my old post we are saying the same thing spiritually and physically cows, kids wives health food etc.But that dont mean BIG car, Bigs Homes, nicw watches, etc.

  • @ashonpar3 ok kool, but i dont agree when people say a christian cant be blessed with big houses, cars etc because if you believe it God CAN do it! The only thing that works in the bible is what you belive! so then when it says wat a man sows he shall reap, depending on the soil 100, 60, 30 fold im i right? Not every christian can is physically a billionaire but it is Gods will that we should not lack an be blessed. thats all im tryna put forth here. Poverty is not of God brother! Stay Blessed.

  • @modim3 So if you get a 30 year mortgage,A loan on a car that looses value soon as you pull of the lot.2 credit cards .Living pay check to pay check is that being blessed.I believe if you ask you shell receive but i think there are things that is man made and of the world.

  • @ashonpar3 everything you described is called being in bondage my frend God doesnt want us in debt. What you describe is how many people live their lives, that is not bLessed, if God wants to bless me with a house he would provide all the money i need to buy it or even by another means. Dont limit what God can do, Like i said its what and who you believe in.

  • @modim3 But Most people are in bondage so the prosperity gospel dont work.you have prosperity preachers church being foreclosed on because of loans they took out on that church.I know nobody that is out of bondage.Only the bUm

  • @ashonpar3 Dude there is no prosperity or poverty GospelBUT just the GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. In the Gospel is prosperity and blessings but not money only. Christians are NOT supposed to be in bondage to anything, we are in bondage because we lack faith and are not living in the fullness of what we have in christ. Galatians 5:1 Stand fast therefore in the liberty with which Christ has made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.

  • @modim3 I know that........ but most Christians try to put on a fake fa-sad of being blessed by getting car notes, and house notes...

  • @ashonpar3 lol yer i know thats why they spend their life being in debt.

  • @ashonpar3 God wants us to be a blessing to people, HOW can we do that if we are not blessed? Part of the Gospel is 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" right? and finally this is the gospel right?Luke 6:38 "Give, and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that you mete with it shall be measured to you again." ...

  • @modim3 you keep trying to preach ,But you still not dealing with the problem .Do you have mortgage,do you have a car note,do you live check to check.Be thank for you life food and you family.

  • @ashonpar3 Im not the peoples provider i cant deal with the problem, have faith in the one who can. None of the things u said applies to me and even if they did for a season i will put my trust in my provider and sow seeds, so as to reap a harvest. And im veRRRy thankful my friend , i give God the glory and praise everday for his grace in my life that i dont deserve. Honestly. I dont meanto sound like im preaching to you but im just tryna show u the revelation i recieved. God Bless ya

  • @modim3 Prosperity should be for everyone.spiritual prosperity and physical prosperity.I dont mid you preaching but when you keep preaching to on a movement that dont include everybody. The prosperity doctrine is not inclusive it creates classicism the haves against the haves notes.Jesus ministry included everyone

  • @ashonpar3 oh and also check out Genesis 39:2, in Gods eyes Joseph was seen as a Successful man/Prosperous, but yet he was a slave to his egyptian master. You see in Gods eyes Sucess isnt measured by what you accomplish or what you have, its measured by who you serve. If you serve and know the living God Jehovah Jireh (The lord will provide) Then Ephesians 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

  • @modim3 Joseph was not a slave he a honor position because he could interpret dreams.Joseph was 30 years old, Pharaoh made him viceroy over Egypt but he was successful he could give his brother grain

  • @ashonpar3 im not sure if its the same bible we're reading but mine sure says joseph was a slave, although he didnt remain one. And i took nothing out of context i basically stated the word as it reads my frend. But anyways i rest my case because things like these are worthy to be argued over. But my just to let you know brother God wishes us NO LACK, no lack doesnt mean we are gonna be bill gates on earth but we are BLESSED... Peace

  • @modim3 he was a slave but at the time he serve pharoah he was a viceroy not a slave. If you pull up those scriptures you can read it from 10 different bibles 10 different ways (GODS WORD LOL) but you have to read all the chapters completely in context .But I agree with Blessed spiritually.

  • @ashonpar3 I meant when he was a slave Genesis 39:2 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. (The lord called him prosperous yet he was slave)in Gods eyes Success isnt measured by what you accomplish or what you have, its measured by who you serve. If you serve and know the living God Jehovah Jireh (The lord will provide) ...All by faith

  • @modim3 and you keep dodging some of my points

  • @ashonpar3 like?

  • @ashonpar3 LASTLY to be blessed is to NOT LACK, it doesnt necessarily mean that every christian is gonna be a Bill Gates on the earth materially. But we are spiritually RICH. GOD BLESS BROTHER!

  • @modim3 Well said, friend. I'm glad you understand the Kingdom concept of wealth. There is no difference between physical blessings and spiritual blessing. Every physical things is generated by means of the spiritual realm. Therefore to be spiritually blessed violently opens up the gateway for the physical manifestation. This is why Jesus could multiply food (wealth), multiply wine (wealth), multiply whatever we give up for him in Mark 10:29-31 (wealth), add everything we ned to us (wealth).

  • @ashonpar3 Cattle, food, land, & animals was the biblical form of cash. They didn't have currency like we do in the old testament so there economy was based on cattle, food, land, animals and etc. That's why Abraham and Job would be billionaires today b/c they had MUCH cattle, food, land, and animals. Scripture even speaks on God's wealth by saying that "he owns the cattle on 1,000 hills"- a statement on wealth. Also, God (not govenment) provides our prosperity- according to HIS RICHES IN GLORY.

  • @TheGeneral005 Our economy is still based on cattle ,food, especially land.Money has NO TRUE VALUE.So which currency do GOD owns.the Buddhist currency. The Hindu currency. The Muslims currency .Those with true wealth have land and own things. Why did we vote for Obama because the economy was failing and Im not saying he is the answer.Wealth is not having debt then saying you are prosperous. The top traded product are 1 Oil/petroleum products,

    2 Coffee,3 Steel and Infrastructure,4 Gold,5 Wheat.

  • The word speaks for itself:

    For rich men:

    Mark 10:25

it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

    For the Poor:

Luke 6:20-21 (New Living Translation) 20 Then Jesus turned to his disciples and said, God blesses you who are poor,

for the Kingdom of God is yours.

  • Yes, you are correct the Word does say that. But why don't people ever finish reading that chapter instead of stopping there. Finish the chapter... Mark 10:26-28- They were even more astonished and said to Him, "Then who can be saved?" Looking at them, Jesus *said, "With people it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God." Peter began to say to Him, "Behold, we have left everything and followed You."

  • Mark 10:29-31...

Jesus said, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel's sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.

God doesn't want us to live in poverty, nor does he approve of or desire poverty for His children.

  • 2 Cor 8:9- Jesus became poor so that you could become rich.

That's in all of our bibles.

Thanks for watching wondermike, but we have to read all of what the word is saying. It IS possible to be rich and Kingdom. God wants us all prosperous.

    God bless!

  • nation was blessed financially, but no where in the NT do you find a mandate/promise that God will ultimately bless believers financially. No doubt, some are, but certainly some aren't. A quick look at the apostles and several early churches in the NT reveals that they (churches) were in extreme poverty. Was God not blessing them? What were they doing wrong? What about our brothers and sisters in 3rd world countries?

  • Thank you for your reply pastor.I am not saying that God only blesses in death.Personally,I have a graduate degree, my wife is a nurse and we live "comfortably":all blessings. However, for me to desire to have more simply bc I can afford smacks of idolatry/storing up rust-prone treasure.2nd, Amen,Jesus is the New Covenant, and the prosperity we receive (all "these things" that will be added unto us) are certainly blessings, but are never something to be chased. You are correct that Israel as a...

  • Pastor,Jesus did say to rich young ruler to sell all that he had give it to the poor to have treasure in heaven.Christ new that treasure in heaven is the end all..not earthly material. Also, to whom are you referring when you mention pastors who say you must be poor? I don't know any (Piper certainly isn't one). Finally, how God blesses Israel and how we are to live are not necessarily one in the same..do sacrifice like Israelites? I assume no which has no bearing on God's immutability..blessings

  • Jesus did say to the rich young guy to sell all, but later in Mark 10:23-31 He explains the treasure in heaven concept. He didn't want him to be poor, but to live the Kingdom way.Treasure in heaven is for now and later. Why can God only give us the treasure when we die? I wasn't talking of Piper. If Jesus is the fullness of the Old Covenant, why do we leave out the prosperity aspect? If He blessed Israel financially in covenant, He'll bless us as well- Eph 2:11-13. I want ALL Jesus came to give.

  • Thanks for the blessings and love... even though it seems we disagree. Peace and blessings to you and your family.
