of all the three "experements" Genesis is the best because angeal is slightly suicidel later and sepheroth is gullible which leads to his "downfall"

That itself is not bad. everyone is afraid of Death. But he freaking started a pointless war, turned hundreds of ppl into mindless clones and killed his adoptive Parents just so save his own very own ass. You can tell that he's a wannabe, not possesing any of the intellect or skill he'd like to have. You can't blame Sephy for trusting Genesis, the poor Guy was raised all alone and thought he had finally thought someone who was like him... Too bad that someone was a living Chunk of Jealousy.

lol Can you imagine all the 1/C SOLDIERs sitting around talking to each other about their apprentices? I can see it... Angeal standing behind a hidden window that looks onto one of the VR training rooms watching Zack in one of his sessions and talking to Gen or Seph - commenting on how impatient Zack is and Gen/Seph giving their 'critique' on Zack's performance. That would've made a great cutscene. Nojima should do another novella to fill in all the skipped time...

I was thinking about doing a fanfic w/just such a scene where Seph walks up behind Angeal while he's watching Zack in training, fighting a summon creature. Seph asks how the 'puppy training' is coming along. Angeal answers 'slow & frustrating, but progressive'. Seph lets out a relieved sigh and wry comment on how he doesn't have to bother w/such distractions. Ang asks Seph why he hasn't taken on an apprentice yet and Seph can't answer why. Then Angeal tells him "to let all of that [cont'd]

[Looks over his shoulder] The ONLY way to immortality..." [Leaves] Seph stands there pondering his words, looking down on the two as Ang pats Zack on the back...[contd]

Flash forward to Zack & Seph in the truck on the way to Nibelheim. Zack doing squats, excited and talking about the "new materia I can't wait to try out." Seph [lowers head] "hmph, just like a kid. Still the puppy I see." Zack [a bit embarrassed, kneels next to Seph] "Say, I've never asked before but, you never carry your sword - only in battle. How..." [Seph cuts him off] "It's 'old magic'. A skill that must be mastered before it can be used in battle or the result could be disastrous.[contd]

Seph [looks away - recalls the discussion w/Ang 3 years before while watching a young 2/C Zack battle the summon creature in training and the almost fatherly pride on Ang's face when Zack beat the creature.] "The only way to immortality..." Zack, [puzzled] "huh?" Seph [looks back at Zack] "When we have time, I will teach you."

I don´t know japanese, so I might be mistaken. But I have had impression that Genesis talks about his parents when saying "those two have betrayed me..."? That would make more sense than implying to Zack and Tseng.

That actually might be true. Although in the dialogue he plainly says, "Futari" which means lit. "pair" without an indicator of who. If he said "Ano" or "Sono" before "Futari" it would than clearly be talking about his parents.

I wonder why Angeal hasn't that kind of green eyes all the other SOLDIERs (including Zack & Sephiroth) have.

Well no one really has green eyes. Rather there's a Green glow. Zack actually Blue eyes, but looks green at times. It's only suppose to glow green. Same applies to Cloud. Sephiroth is different. His eyes are always Green. Probably because he was born with Jenova cells. Basically green in a SOLDIER's eyes are effect of the Jenova cells.

Hmmm actually not quite. Normal SOLDIERs aren't used for the Jenovo Project. That's what makes Seph, Genesis, Angeal, etc, special.

Rather, the green in a SOLDIER's eyes is caused by Mako, not Jenovo cells.

It's says in the Ultimania and Cloud says it himself in FF7. All SOLDIERs are injected with Jenova cells. Although no one is aware of it (or at least they never mention that they are).

Genesis is meant to be a prototype for that kind of SOLDIER, but Hollander pushed the limits, so Genesis started to degrade

Normal SOLDIERS get their Jenova Cells as adults to enchance their streght. Genesis, Angeal and Sephiroth were experimented on while still in the womb. But basically, Hollander was a hack and Hojo was not; They used different procedures; Angeal and Genesis got these Copy- abilities and wings, but have that deterioration problem (Genesis more so). And Sephiroth? Well, even his face resembles Jenova's, and he's almost unkillable.
