what did you spend on this unit? why no back window, why mirrors(if not for just gun rest get the mirriors out of there) otherwise pretty cool "REDNECK stand" but good use of an old truck
@shawnHAWG The unit is for sale for $3,000-$7,000, depending on the amenities added. Eliminating the back window gets rid of any silhouette effect, and the rearview mirrors are there to see behind you without having to physically look back. Crank windows allow for and adjustable gun rest. Believe me, everything was pretty thoroughly thought out in terms of useful design.
@CDNBadass A pre-made blind readily equipped with doors, windows, seats, mirrors, etc. that comfortably accommodates 3 hunters and is inexpensive and extremely available? A better question is, why wouldn't you use an old truck cab. It's 95% recycled. Get with the times.
That is awesome. You must have to have a lot of time and a lot of broken down vehicles in your yard to think of that. I would get a camo pattern painted on there though.
In response to Marshall- It makes absolutely no noise at all. With deer opener coming up this weekend, I'm very excited about using this to hunt with, I can finally see behind my stand! This is honestly the smartest purchases I've made for my passion of hunting and the outdoors, it's been great just observing wildlife and birds from it too, I bring 2 people along with me almost every time. It's awesome.
I just had my first deer hunting season with the roadhunter 360, and not once did a deer bust us. As a matter of fact more then once a deer ran right under our stand not giving us a second look. So as regards to your statement a deer doesn't hear it rotating or even notice it rotating. If you would have watched to full video you would have seen the actual hunting footage, and also would have noticed the lack of noise this deer stand makes.
