Thank you for all these videos. I'm almost 14, and I'm trying to learn about eating healthier. I love the idea of adding herbs in the smoothies...not sure about the kale... ;) Thanks again!! =) =) =)
Although omega-6 is essential, one should avoid it as much as possble so to get the correct omega-6 to omega-3 ratio (4-1). To get this ratio it is important to avoid omega-6 in the diet as it is very prevalent in the american diet. This ratio is linked with heart health, whereas high levels of omega 6 in the body block the absorbtion of omega-3... Not a good thing. There is plenty of liturature/books/articles on this.
Fruit juice should be avoided at all costs as it is pact with fructose. All forms of fructuse are dangerous and create insulin resistance in the cells. There is plenty of literature on the dangers of fructose to the heart.
Additionally, Grapeseed oil is has only been proven to be good for cholesterol when compared to other high in omega-6 oils. Canola, coconut, and (esspecially olive oils are the only ones to consider cooking with.
If you really want a healthy heart, avoid omega-6 like the plague, take vegetarian (I recommend freshly ground Flax (not oil) and Chia seeds) and animal forms of omega-3 (I recommend Krill oil), vitamin B-6, vitamin B-12 (very important), folate/folic acic, Co Q-10, and eat as much green leafy veggies as possible and avoid grains and potatoes.
ph testing is the next thing you should know about. test your whole family. it'easy and fast get a roll of ph test paper. in the morning before you eat or drink test spit on to a spoon dip the strip into it in 3 seconds you will have your result.
drink alkaline water. or make it. add 1/2 teaspoon the 1 gallon of water now test it
as soon as you started putting herbs into youre smootie.... i was put off....
what da hell, i knw ur tryna help your heart but FOR GODS SAKE.... egg shell water, herbs, grapes seed and powders..... wat ever happedned to a few fruits blendes together!

Additionally, claiming that orange juice concentrate does not have sugar is just false. You couldn't be further from the truth.

Grapes, grape juice, and grapeseed oil are very high in omega-6 and fructuse, so I cant go along with you that they help the heart.
