oxygen by itself will not burn. in order to have fire you need fuel, oxygen, and ignition. Fire is nothing more than a chemical reaction. If anyone can give me a chemical reaction that starts out with O2 + heat and ends with anything other than O2 + heat, I would love to see it. (and you try to say 3 O2 + heat = 2 O3 do realize that ozone decays into O2 and O bonds together to form O2 as it is the natural state)

Oxygen burns. Hydrogen is the one that explodes. The two non-inert gases combust differently.
