Just borrowed this joint from my pops. There's so many tunes on this LP that are sample ready.Pretty much every track is.Classic 70's jazz fusion.I always liked Gale's work with Bob James and Grover Washington Jr. I'm just now getting into his solo stuff.Good upload !
ERIC GALE, ERIC GALE AND ERIC GALE...the greatest guitarist that ever lived!!!!! Your music gives me so much joy and nothing else compares!!Thank you, thank you and thank you
@bigdogsleep Haha i wouldn't be surprised if skitz had sampled this, he's one of the best most slept on Producers, not just from this country but worldwide, always had an ear out for a dope sample.
He had such a nice touch. His work with Bob James on Angela (theme from Taxi)is proof as musicians say "it's not how many, it's which ones you play." Thank you for turning the youngsters on to him.
@ShadowsHaveShadows1 Most producers are shifting away from samples, as publishers and estates want more and more money to clear them. I haven't heard a sample based Hip-Hop song on the radio (which I rarely listen to) in years, well, Otis by Kanye and Jay being the exception. Most of it is all synth driven now, however, it's not done right. Most Hip-Hop now sounds like 90's dance music, and I don't mean that sarcastically, I'm being literal. Anyway, I got sidetracked, I get what you're saying.
there is another song that sampled this song, but i cant find it. his name was like "The Prophrt" or something

Great tune! I ad this LP when it came out in 76.
If you want to hear Gale on a truly classic cut, Grover Washington, Jr.'s, "Mr. Magic."
