Only thing that seems similar between the shows is "open my heart" before transforming. Otherwise they're completely different shows. Every magical girl anime is similar to each other in some way.

@webkinzlolwirdo Dude, if anything, Shugo Chara copied Heartcatch Precure. You're just too stuck in your own belief to realize the truth. All of the Precure series have flawless animation and plot sequences, while Shugo Chara is about a magical girl who is torn between loving a prince or a cat.

Oh, I think I get it now! The maiden looks like Cure Flower! So technically, since her PreCure Heart Seed was broken, MAYBE her PreCure Spirit's helping the girls out! The maiden LOOKS like Cure Flower in the Christmas episode, and Cure Flower's Cure outfit has somewhat the same colors as Cure Blossom and design (Boots, wristcuffs, uniform top...). So wouldn't make sense that the maiden is ACTUALLY the spirit of Cure Flower?

I always figured Cure Ange might be actually one of the statues shown in the episode where they have to fight their counterparts. There is one statue they show over 3 times that matches the grandmother's same hairstyle. So i figured that the one statue was her in her younger years. [ It shows once by back and then 2 in front.]
