the time frame for hitting notes is different. GH has a really shitty frame since Activision took over the series. If you strum a tenth of a second early, u will miss the note, but if you strum 2 seconds too late, u hit the note. Rock Band has a much more balanced time window, making it harder at first. once you get used to it though, GH is actually harder
