It's the Steelers and Packers from Lambeau FIeld...let's get a preview from Charlie Jones and Bob Trumpy. (Man, I wish NBC had the NFC back in those days. Overall, the play-by-play guys were SO much better than CBS or FOX.)

Do you have the theme from 1986-88 seasons? Bob Costas would start with "Great games great moments on NBC" and classic footage with the play by play of Dick Enberg and Cury Gowdy and others and a classic theme was played. Can you or someone post that?

This was from 1993 and 1994 season. Jim Lamply was the host for the 1993 season only. Greg Gumbel took over 1994-1997 seasons.

This theme (composed by John Colby) replaced John Tesh's "Gridiron Dreams" (which was used since the 1990 season). Jim Lampley replaced Bob Costas as the host. Then, Lampley moved over to play-by-play and Greg Gumbel (off the heels of CBS losing the NFC package to FOX) took over.

This was the best studio theme song until Randy Edelman's theme took over.

This was when Greg Gumbel had hosted it with Ahmad Rashad as co-host, with analysts Mike Ditka and Joe Gibbs....years later Cris Collinsworth, Joe Montana and Sam Wyche would be in the studio.
