  • You read some text and think you know all about linux, if you're just playing games use win if u want to use NORMAL OS don't use Win

  • @Stazis555 Linux can play games too..

  • Linux=Delilah

  • you know what screw u Linux rocks and u know it you just to much of a retard who thinks he knows all all of the ITs I know perfer Linux hate Mac and moderately like windows so just shut the F*** up

  • "excist?" english is not my native language but I think that word does not EXIST!

  • Hey fucker, if windows is so great then why vista?

    Checkmate, motherfucker.

    christians: 1

you (butthurt anal frustrated bitch twat): -afinity

  • Uhm... hundreds of libraries specific for different distros? -_- Don't post a video like this if you know nothing about Linux... noob x)

  • You spelled distributions wrong -_-

  • niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice light saber oh no this joke is old :-(

  • Simple. Because "Better" and "User Friendly" are relative terms. You need to try some different ones out, see what suits you. If you really want you can make your own distro for free, oh wait, LINUX IS ALL FREE. Man its not that one thing is the best, its what is your preference. You aren't stuck in one place. And have you looked at Windows help forums, they are just as cluttered as Linux, except I don't see as many people helping them. Windows is simple more popular at the moment. That is all.

  • Linux Sucks Cock. It's a buggy piece of shit.

  • @AstonMartinFan0210 And windows isn't? hahahaha. You're a riot

  • Sorry, I have linux mint, ubuntu, and windows, but I've been thinking about the people who use windows, and they don't really know how to use and configure a PC,and that is not bad, they are costumers too, LINUX should make the things easier to all people. How many people use LINUX and how many use WINDOWS, I'm honest when I say: LINUX (even the easier distro) is not easy to use, and less for the WINDOWS users, LINUX is better, but not easy....this is my own and personal opinion...

  • dude....u'r simply retarded :D

  • This complain about " oh I dont like linux cuz I need to type commands in the terminal all the time to get things done... " isnt true

  • If Microsoft had never existed, we would be on MAC OSX and there arises the same question on Linux... Windows users want ease! They do not want to have to learn, or type a command to have something! Windows is killing our children ... He will never learn how things really work because Microsoft creates buttons shortcuts for everything!

I use Win Seven with Ubuntu (DualBoot) on my laptop and my desktop PC uses Windows-7, Xbuntu and Android on multi-boot.

NEVER STOP LEARNING! Except for English!

  • There are so many Desktop Environments because Linux is about choice. The best Linux distrobution in MY OPINION is one where you get the base system and then install packages that only you want to install, and that is a rolling release. Arch Linux (pre-compile) and Gentoo (compile from source) do this, and they do this damn well. Arch Linux is amazingly fast though, it's just as fast as a compile from source distrobution [Gentoo, Lunar Linux, etc].

  • your video sucks

  • i'm listening to the song

  • n00b video

  • check out linux mint, its very good for beginners and people switching over from windows

  • Linux sucks....., no.

    YOU SUCK

  • they only good thing abt this video is your name is it shooter as in a vodka shooter?? u sure put your lips on that thing?

  • I'm a recovered Windows user. I'll never, ever ever go back to Windows, aka Constant Crash, Habitual Hang, Sluggish Slow, Pay to Play, Recalcitrant Registry, Victim of Viruses. I have so much less stress and anger from switching. I recommend Ubuntu for Windows or Mac users, both.

  • @PostgodAfterbirth

Ubuntu is the best from all the distro's,

  • @assshooter Totally agree. It makes Linux easy, and is probably the only one I'll ever use. Thanks for the reply.

  • @assshooter Maybe in some cases yes, in others not so much. Ubuntu is nice but it's not great in all circumstances.

  • Personaly I like Linux its one of the best operating system ive used and microsoft is not even near the little trouble i get from Linux. If I ever have a problem with it its a simple problem that just involves little to no work.

  • Been running Linux since 1997. No problem that I can't fix. Issues are few and far between. And to @ImJustOldMate, I can run any Game I choose on the Linux platform, no I don't use WINE, it sucks.. And as far as Linux Games ? There are 1000's of them as good if not superior to Windoze !!!! Put your Brain in gear before you open your mouth next time..

  • @johnnylifeson

Any game without wine?? Ok run left4dead 2 without wine. Or any windows game. Linux games are by far inferior to windows games, it's comparing a Trabant to a Ferrari. Edit some HD movies in ur linux distro...

  • @assshooter

Linux = freethinking people, true intellectuals who solve problems when they see them

Windows = commercial OS for your mom

Mac = in my country you have this only if your dad has at least 3 cars!

  • @johnnylifeson Woah, woah, woah. I'm a friendly. I fucking hate Windoze but am only a recent recruit to the ranks of the enlightened (in the last 6 months). I'm at the elementary level with Ubuntu but trying my best to learn. Not that I have any interest in gaming, i was just interested how you do run these games on a Linux platform? just using VitualBox, or is it a little more complicated?

  • apparently you don't understand the fundamental basics of existence... Nothing exists and is maintained that has something in the same category that is better than it in any way, Thus, the reason there are so many linux distros. is because they all have something unique about them.

  • @kvanmete7675

Some are unique, most are more of the same

  • I recommend you to spend the time you spent making this crappy video on learning better the English language...

  • @ffVIIvicio

No, English is not my first language, how many languages do you speak?

  • @assshooter I speak 4, but that doesnt mean I dont speak English fluently. What a tard you are

  • and self im using both at the same time

  • hey guys look at the lightsaber!! XD

  • And macs dominate.....end of story

  • The only thing that sucks here is the song that was selected for this video.

  • A car is a car. Why have so many makes, models, and brands? As far as picking the one for you. think about what you want to use it for mainly. ( programming, games, internet, business...etc) then research for that type. I use both Microsoft and Linux for different reasons.

  • Comment removed

  • Linux is made for geeks by geeks. It's a far superior operating system to me. I cannot stand using microshit products anymore they just suck

  • Just when I thought there is hope for humanity and my hope 'evaporated' at the moment I watched th1s sh1t. Now I de-leveled my IQ 2 much.

  • And those would be the reasons why linux sucks...? I use both windows 7 and archlinux and they're simply different. But linux is surely more interesting because it makes you understand how a computer works, if you get what i mean.

If you say that linux sucks just because it makes you choose and customize everything... well, maybe you just don't get what linux really is.

  • No, linux does NOT suck it is just designed with geeks in mind its for geeks who like to work out everything, buy new software and instead of reading manual would rather work it out there self.

  • It's all a matter of what people are used to. It would be like living in a communist country where you only had 1 type of car..called "car".

The only different ones on the road depended on the year: "car '95" "car '98" "car 2000" "car Vista" "car XP"...

now throw them into a different world of "2001 Chevy Cavalier", "2005 Nissan Sentra", "2010 Ford Focus"...understandably the comments would be "Why are there so many cars?" "How do I choose what is right for me?"

  • Confusing? Noway. I was (and i am, ONLY for games) a Windows user (95, 98, XP, 7) and i found Linux really easy to use (at first Gnome and then Unity desktop in Ubuntu). Linux is far more stable, -of course- quick and you can do everything you want. Even the most simple thing on the world (accessing the other OS's files) Windows can do... Or if they can, you have to ''download this app, then do this etc. ...). Windows 7 are far better comparing to XP but not to Linux, no matter its distribution.

  • Because you can't choose and because you're such a stupid boy, I would recommend you to use ubuntu. It's easy and very good for beginners as well as experts.

  • Linux does, and will always, ROCK.......this vid is FAIL, and the person who made it is apparently too feeble minded to handle Linux

  • You know, it's not GNU/Linux's fault that you installed a desktop environment you don't like.

  • There are no problems with Windows on forums? It's even more!

Now go around your house and google every device you'll find plus word "problem" and you'll see that there is nothing in your house that is actually working!

  • @Videotubelord - nicely done.

  • I think this video was made by a Mircrosoft worker. I use windows at the moment, but I'm going to try Linux, I hope that it's gonna be fun to explore it and use it and I will learn a lot of new things.

  • I use Windows, Mac OS, and Linux. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. I would suggest Linux Mint if you're a beginner Linux user.

  • Haha Windows-noob :D

  • This "Video" is full of fail (hey if you just post text - that's what forums are for - but thanks for the music :-) ).

It takes about a minute on Google to find out that Ubuntu is the most popular distro. End users don't have to worry about packages or libraries - just like they don't worry about that on Windows.

This whole video is a list of fake problems. And of course forums are full with people having problems - just like all those forums filled with windows problems. That's why people post.

  • You know, after the gazillionth time you wrote "distrObution" in there I kinda toned out everything except the song...

  • This was made by various video editing devices usually reserved for the OpenOffice power point software. Dude, you can curse and cuss FSF and GNU all you want. In the end no matter what you call it I like to know that differing upgrades will be installed. Not just agreeing to the communistic party ideals; which will crash a system. UNIX is what Apple has used and it really works well and Linux should have been recognized years ago. Why, is it IT friends ask me what the best distro is for e

  • OKey so all fucking Linux haters love this bullshit song !!!

  • I guess 21st dec 2012 is near ...

  • "Too much choice, what am I going to do?"

How can you complain about being able to choose what suits you most?

I gather from that that you probably want something mainstream, Ubuntu and Mint are (the most?) popular distros today... choose one of those...

  • @MrNeoZeed wow you got my old name!

part from i had 3 "E" in zeeed

  • Go shoot yourself in the ass - AssShooter. What a Fag name. One day there WILL be a windows virus that brings ALL world's windows pc's to the nearest rubbish dump. And Linux will keep on going!

  • If you need a simple distro try Linux Mint, and tell us if it's so difficult to use

  • you have to learn just like anything else. And yes it is a far superior system than Win or mac.

  • Windows runs a package management system too.

Bring up the run command (Either Start Menu -> Run or Window Key + R) and type

    pkgmgr

  • Mac!!!

  • PS. you know what runs at least 95% of all servers??? some form of linux, mostly linux!

  • 1) there are no viruses

    2) linux is atleast 10 times faster, using about 6 million lines of code, while windows 7 uses about 100 million or more...

    3) EVERYTHING IS FREE

    4) you can have whatever feel and look you want so there are so many possible OS and interfaces (ie, gnome, unity KDE LXDE)

    5) windows sucks, i can see where you got your youtube name...

  • for new linux users, just use linuxmint to start off, and learn how to install cinnamon desktop enviornment.

  • @assshooter id say making billions of dallars then giving a load to charities you co-invented under sister companies,

charities that aim in reducing population of africa! by sterilization, and infection

    ie.. H.I.V is un-ethical

  • @assshooter there are so many CHOICES for Linux because there are lots of people who love linux and like it a bit in their own way... so cos it is marvelouse and open-source these people who loved linux made their own desktop-interfaces and shit so you are basically complaining that there is too much variation out there and that is what linux users have intended to do..... give people a FULL CHOICE of what they want to customize into their OS. so your bitching that linux gives CHOICE

  • @Zedos777 now i can understand what you mean about why all the different package types that is your only fair argument tho.

and to be hones as with all else in Linux it probably has a really good reson but i dont really care to know as that is like to only 1 bad thing about linux.

and linux is never meant to be WINDOWS

  • @assshooter They don't "offer" jobs silly you, there is no such thing in the corporate world... they (every corporation) use the work of a person to gain money, and give a part of what he produced back to the worker, keeping the rest to pay CEOs' humongous salaries and invest in other businesses, it's the definition of exploitation. Maybe read a bit about it, it's interesting (and apparently not that obvious).

  • @assshooter You get a medal for the weakest counter argument I've seen today. MrNeoZeed gets ....gets making a statement without explaining it at all award.

  • @assshooter If i search in google for Linux company, one of the first entrys is Wikipedia. There are 53 Linux Companys shown. Red Hat, one of the Distribution Vendors (they made redhat and give proffesionel support and trainings etc for Companys), got 3,200 employes. Just think about how many Employes are in total.

  • @assshooter it's a shame most of those jobs are outside of the U.S. and they pay them less than a dollar a day.

  • windows sucks blue screen error i hated & i use linux cause it's not stuck u for errors

  • @anbusaiko

No, kernel panic, broken sound server, broken x-server etc. blue screen is history

  • @assshooter I wonder what you been doing with Linux. And whats kernel panic - are you sure you not bashing OSX now smart scammer?

  • @anbusaiko ubunto freezes and fuck up way more then windows, what distro would you recomend?

  • 2:11 "Excuse me for me bad English......" ....as I'm a Windows user

  • @ImJustOldMate, Just go back to your Linux PC, and play some game.... wait, Linux doesn't have games!

  • err linux mint for windows noobs?

  • I use ubuntu on my laptop and windows 7 on my "game-computer"... but right now windows ran into a problem and wont start so thats why Im sitting with my linux. I love Linux, but I only have Wii so that is why I need window$ to play games.

Make your own distro or choose ubuntu 11.10 either way you wont be disappointed.

  • @assshooter your name sums you up pretty well

  • lunix mint kde

  • LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL! Assshooter, I C WUT U DID THAR!

  • It's spelled, "distribution".

  • Im currently a windows user but what I've heard about Linux sounds awesome, I'll certainly look into this more!

  • You made a lot of very good points - very true all these varieties are confusing especially to non Geek types that just want an alternative to windows

  • If you treat users as idiots then idiots will use it. GNU/Linux distributions often fall on an easy-to-use versus power-user curve -- use what suits you best. The developers of each distribution have their own goals -- we write these programs out of necessity. Good programmers often write code to satisfy their own needs, and that is why the Open Source development model produces good programs. However, the source code for Windows is locked up, and the users are at the mercy of Microsoft.

  • "distrobutions" and "excist"! Okay to address some things, of the three desktops you mentioned: Gnome is the best suited for modern hardware, while lxde is the least demanding. Windows has different GUI's too. XP's is different from Windows 7 obviously, but there's a lot of good features in windows 7 that do not require the user interface, imagine if you could take all those good things and keep the light weight interface of XP so you can keep using your old hardware? Well with Linux you can.

  • Linux sucks? You must not use the internet, then. Nine out of ten servers run a Linux distribution simply because it is more stable, secure, and efficient. Hardly any webservers run on Windows, and the few that do are the ones that are frequently "down for maintenance."

No, Windows certainly does not "operate just fine," it's just user friendly. This may offend some, but *nix operating systems require some thought ;-) I suggest you try it before posting such nonsense.

  • I luv Ubuntu Linux. I switched to after many years of disappointing operation, bugginess and crashes of numerous windows operating systems. Ubuntu does require the tiniest bit more technical intelligence that the average windows user may or may not possess. If your in any way tech savvy then give Linux a try. If not stick to windows. Linux's opensource community driven development means that it has evolved to far quicker to the point of surpassing other offerings and getting better all the time

  • This is hilarious. A video of text where the dude whines that he can't figure out Ubuntu. Some people shouldn't own a computer.

  • He was going to post this using his webcam, but got W32/Rbot-GR webcam virus on his windows, so he just typed it out the hard way.

  • @onionfartful

    Lol, no I have a virusscanner :P.

  • @assshooter And what does a Virusscanner do? It should close the Errors in Windows.

  • @onionfartful Well I would certainly give his opinion some consideration. If he didn't spell like a first grader.

  • Why is windows so bad i've got windows 7 and it runs better than any mac or linux i've seen. there is a reason why it is so popular and that is because even though it has some problems it is still miles better then the others. If you hate windows then you have nothing else apart from a crappy mac or linux

  • I hope that ever other word was misspelled just for laughs.

  • I learned Linux because, I am not going to pay Bill Gates For his O/S, and buy any Additional Software to Install, The Updates takes forever in Win, and that "YOUR COMPUTER IS AT RISK" So it is a choice, why setlled for only one choice, when I have many choices with Linux? Keep spending your money it is your Choice!

  • So, Linux sucks, because it offers orders more choice than Windows, costs nothing, helps you learn about how computers work, can run almost any software (including Windows software), and makes better use of your system components? Yeah, OK. You keep paying Micro$oft $300 every few years for the new versions of Windoze. That's an OS made for people like you who are too lazy to think for themselves or do a little research.

  • @temporos There's to OS's for him; Mac and Windows!

  • @temporos ,

"can run almost any software(including Windows software)" - most but not all, enterprise software and games are the best examples.

"and makes better use of your system components?" - most of the components are not supported or not work, MS partnership with vendor is very admirable(which make apple[the corp not the user] feel jealous).

  • @temporos ,

we'll how can you make better use of powerful graphic card if you cannot run great games, which the reason you bought good graphic card in the first place. maybe better for server environment which you don't need such discrete card. which linux really excels.

"because it offers orders more choice than Windows" - same marketing strategy of mac applies, less choice, less confusion to consumer(make that marketing really work).

  • @temporos ,

I'm not shooting linux down, I use linux too eg. fedora, ubuntu, centos. aside from windows and mac os. I've seen and work with linux for server farms but as desktop and mainstream workstation it will might struggle to push through, the only thing you might want linux is because its free which is valid reason, but not enough for most enterprise organization or gamer which require specific sets of requirement that might not be available on linux at the moment.

  • dep the best insall and run in one click

  • 5.over heated just like any other normal machine if we overdo something.speaking of which, i think i also have typing all this just a bit too much.forgive me if i over expressed my humble opinion as i would like to believe u are some1 who's open just like most of us,but do forgive in other mean.i found this ubuntu super cool in accidentally point.By the way,i just lazy to read last time and will only do if i have to,but now i've shifted a bit of my mind.- Knowing is Loving & Ignorance is bliss.

  • 4. on how much graphic memory it uses, where my pc only use nVidia 8800 SE with only 256KB, where i mostly failed to install the driver initially but now having the best out of me with proudly showing off just to make my little nephews to get a little excited and amazed with making the desktop to rotate 360 in 3D cube and Sphere, some fire making magic and yet, no hang no freeze at all and doing it non-stop for 10minutes but a glimpse monitoring the GPU tempreture as it still could get

  • 3. fully understood by doing quite a lot of reading about Ubuntu & Linux, just mostly on the wikibuntu site by surprise! by having the minimum basic knowledge in using it, i'm now using Lucid Lynx 10.04.3 Ubuntu for almost 2 months without the having the same annoying install-reinstall every time after mistakenly messing up,mostly in The Terminal. With only the basic knowledge, i'm really impress with Ubuntu as it is extremely much faster, graphic is totally awesome in term of huge different

  • 2. look around and experience the allegedly well known best for Hackers OS, but majorly failed to get me interest about it as i felt exactly almost the same with your reason for doing this video..it's full of confusing unheard unknown stuff..but i've got no option since the mistake and life is pretty tight seriously. so remembering the live cd and after 7-8 install & reinstall the live cd since i messed up most of the time, doing things i didn't fully understand with,i realized it has to be

  • 1. hello assshooter, i'm commenting my 1st on youtube & ur channel n u yourself got the honor for being the 1st place & guy for me to give my POV of this topic but this is since i just had to convert from Vista to Ubuntu. Yes, i had to bcoz i was unable to play that well with something i didn't really know about, i've accidentally format my Vista while doing a simple disk partition. With no money n job, i happened to be have downloaded ubuntu hardy somewhere in 2008 with the intention to look

  • Linux is kick ass

  • I am using the windows 8 dev preview. Its setup just like 7.... I mean the start button and stuff is different, but its just not great. I mean I can understand why people may not like anything Linux or Ubuntu and stuff. But you cannot base an OS on gaming..... That's like little kids to complain about. What about the actual software parts. I mean you can run windows programs on Linux and stuff... So the windows fanboys are just over doing it.

  • @animaldreams111 I don't think as many windows people hate linux, they are cheaper to run servers etc .. i don't think people who use windows even think about Linux, because well they have everything they want and it's easy to acces .. they can game. chat

I'm on ubuntu now i'm really having alot of problems chatting with people, it seems there is alot of package loss i don't know why .. also people say linux never crashes ? mine crashes alot of times .. my windows almost never crashed

  • How can you complain about something that is free? It makes no sense.

  • @blueovalfan23 I used Ubuntu, it was okaay, I have to admit that ;)

  • @GioGziro95

yeah what he said was correct. I don't mean about the new Aero UI, it's windows UI.

the Start Menu, Task bar bottom of the screen, and the start button these are the part of windows since first version of the Windows and many developers steal this UI style and make their own. so it belongs to Microsoft actually, even now Ubuntu uses task bar bottom of the screen it doesn't change anything it is just changed the location that you can even do in Windows.

  • @VaheTildian

Firefox get stucked if you open multiple tabs.

I just right clicked on firefox and it takes couple of seconds to open the pop up menu

cause there are nearly 20 tabs open, Chrome ,IE 8 < is only better when it comes to multiple tabbing cause it uses separate process for each tab,

  • Search on Google

    Bill Gates Illuminati.

  • yeah Linux sucks.

  • And who says you can't play Windows games on Linux?

  • @BenamaticTH Apparently they do not know that they can :|. I swear kids who complain about an os just because it does not play games....

  • Comment removed

  • In case someone didn't notice, I was being ironic. Use whatever the fuck you want, just stop feeding people bullshit. If you still think that you're right, then check your lightsaber.

  • Oh, I feel so educated right now. I learned that there are too many distributions, every one of them uses different libraries, software developers don't produce anything for linux, windows just works and finally that windows are without any doubt far superior. I should forget everything I learned in 10+ years of using linux on a daily basis and just go use windows. THANK YOU!! THANK YOU FOR SHOWING ME THE LIGHT!!!

  • Was will der Autor dieses Videos denn aussagen?

  • I had used linuxs it sucks. both mac and windows are good its just that mac is more for perffessional work like 3d modeling and Graphics. windows is more like buisness and gaming

  • nice spelling. good to know your educated

  • Praising the windows desktop when you dont understand how linux works is a clear indication that you need to do more research. M$ have terrible programing practices very insecure software and a mind field of stability issues you just dont see them. blue screens of death are still very common and no its not your hardware, malware would not exist if M$ had sorted it in the first place but still even in win 8 they not sorted it. Closed source and I.P. is a bad move.

  • OSX!!!!!

  • dear god its distributions!!! ahhhhhh!!!!! with an I!!! How can you have a intelligent dispute if you spell such a simple word wrong so many times!!!!!

  • @acid201677 I think the mis spelling was supposed to be ironic... This is a sad post from someone who simply does not know.

  • It's interesting how it's only incompetent people who always complain. The rest won't say anything, cause they know that nobody gives a shit. Just use whatever the fuck you want.

  • This video made me laugh it represents many of Linux strong points I guess things like freedom of choice mean nothing to some people. In server environments Linux is king for most uses. As for the desktop I promise you Linux has all the same functionality as Windows or Mac and a lot more. Linux being Open source it gets developed much faster and adapts to new technologies at an astonishing rate compared to limited operating systems like Windows or Mac.

  • I hear so many people trash talk windows on the Internet but for my needs and the majority of people out there windows is the best OS. Ive been using windows 7 on my machine for 2 years and i haven't had a blue screen once. It's been fast and stable since the day I got it. I also use norton and have yet to get a virus. I love windows and even though people like to say it sucks, there's a damn good reason that 90% or more of the world uses windows.....it's a damn good operating system.

  • If Linux sucks, you should suggest Google to move they're youtube servers to Windows (ha ha haaaa). If you don't understand the whole advantages of Linux, you should stay away of this subject. I'm a Mac and also a Linux user. On windows i have all the problems on earth and even more. With Mac and/or Linux all problems are gone. I am a programmer and also a regular user and i use to play games sometimes and trust me! you can find most of games on those distribution too. Mac is built on Unix so...

  • This is like complaining why there are still other sets of Lego when there is already particular set of Lego. Linux does not suck, it powers a myriad of web servers and even some consoles.

Using it as a desktop system pales in comparison to Windows and MacOS for the average user, but that is not the fault of Linux per se. The people using Linux develop software for people using Linux, people who grew up on shells and scripts. It's a great OS, but with that said,I still mainly use Win7.But yeah.

  • Linux does suck.

  • it was said, that software-developers aren't interrested in making software for linux. The problem isn't Linux. The problem is Windows. There are to much users of this crap, that is called an operating system, although it doesn't operate. If a large count of people are using a product, extensions are going to be developed for this product. If there are a lot of extensions, more people are going to use it. Do you know what I mean? It's a pro, that there are such a lot of distros

  • @ToxicFlux

Windows operates just fine. What is pro about fragmentation?

  • @assshooter fragmentation? you mean choices and freedom? moron.. you want Microsoft to be your mommy and tell you what to do.. some of us like having freedom.. but i must say if we are talking about fragmentation.. hows you system disk doing? defragment your windows yet? i don't need to do that on linux cause we have EXT4 which is journaled get educated

  • @assshooter Simple. If you dont't like it, you don't have to use it, choose something else. Just as choice is not a problem. For example DEs: All of them are great. Take one, no matter which. Don't like it, take the next. Packagemenagement is not a choice of the user, but the distro. No problem here.

What if you don't like Windows 7's GUI or any aspect of the system? OK, you can use WinXP if that works better, but that is way outdated for years now and will definitely end in 2014, and then?

  • @assshooter Fragmentation is a big issue in Windows, it slows down. But just fucking Dual-Boot Seriously!

  • @assshooter EXT File system (linux default) doesn't need fragmentation.

  • @assshooter This is why China still lives under communist rule.

  • @assshooter you say fragmentation- we say flavors. Linux is awesome

  • @assshooter

windows operates fine lol and your video is such a biased shit i lmao all the time with the bs,just another windows minded user using linux, thinking linux is windows lol or works like it

  • @assshooter It's called "choice".

Anyways, you obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

First of all, Gnome, KDE, Xfce, LXDE, Enlightenment, Awesome, etc. are all "Desktop Environments". In other words they are not so much more than themes for your desktop that you can install on any Linux distro you want. There is not too much difference between different flavors of Linux, and in the end, it's all fully customizable -you can customize your very own distro as you wish.

  • @georgeisJJ not with gnome 3

  • @georgeisJJ actually Enlightenment and Awesome are not "Desktop Environments" they're both Window Managers.

  • What fragmentation? A windows software developer still targets XP, Vista, Windows 7. To make a window in windows or linux is trivial but think about what other system APIs may have changed... the windows developer will need to package what 3rd party APIs they need along with their software. Linux software will declare what dependancies it requires and the package manager will down load them, it a critical security fault is found it will be patched. Windows no such luck.

  • @ToxicFlux Usually I find that people who say that windows is a crap used win98 and that's it. Try using latest windows and than tell me if it is a crap.

  • @RhavoX I use Windows 7 in my work, and yes, it is a real crap.

  • @oksigeno Care to elaborate?
