If you do hip hop, whatever you get these days, make sure it's got the 808 sounds in whatever device you buy. I made sure the keyboard I bought had the 808 sounds, can't live without them. Especially that fat bass drum in it.
Aww shit, About my last comment, forgive me for this fuck up: I just rewind the vid and noticed you, Preme, weren't exactly _only_ trying to rep Brooklyn.but simply trying to rep NY. Ignore my previous comment, aight? I love this vid, Keep rocking that mpc!

this vid is not entitled 'hip hop history'
why not take a pop at lil wayne, 50, soulja boy or somone who deserves it?
thats hip hop right there all day, though i gotta say i got the 1000 and had alot of fun but now id rather use the mpd and logic (cause its a pain in the ass tracking out from the mpc)
I'm using Patch Phrase for an ill drum loop that is too difficult to play over and I have to change the BPM on it, but the only way to do that is to make a proper Patch Phrase out of it...
I was using Patch Phrase for this ill drum loop I had that I needed to change the speed on. The beat was too complext to play over so I just looped it, but like I said I need to make it a good Patch Phrase so that I can change the BPM
Yo Preme, I'm having trouble with Patch Phrase, my samples just aren't coming out smooth (too choppy) and I can't seem to get the tempo right, would you please do a video specifically to address those two issues, (How to find the BPM of a sample, and How to properly chop a sample to be used as a Patched Phrase), thanx, Peace!
Ready for Vol 3!!! Vol 1 & 2 was off the chain fam!!! I've learned a lot from you fam...hit me up when 3 drops this week...you have me on email and FB! Holla at me fam!!!! Much respect!!!!
Nice video, su-preme! I have a question though - during that sample beat at like 2:00, you play that whole beat with one pad. It sounds like you've got the pad set to mono instead of poly, yet at about 2:06 I'm hearing the snare and the kick at the same time, almost like if you had it set to poly and the sample overlapped. How did you pull that off or are you using two pads at that part?
Su-preme my brother, wht up this Ur Li'l Bro Cool Cal. N U keep preachi'n my bro, cause Ur right alot of these cats out her r really tryi'n 2 mess the game up. Snitchi'n, tryi'n their damn best 2 complicate samples n actually lose the essence of the music or beat itself! Stay up Bro holla' so we can link up! Peace!!! Cool Cal out....
Supreme god bless u for showcasin that boom bap goodness man the planet needs more grimey shit foreal!!!
Also do u eq your samples before u use em n not just specifically for basslines? although while on topic can i drop a request to see u make a beat that rides a grimey bass sample like its life depends on it
I know that drum break. Pretty spooky, huh? I'm sure people have put you on to a shitload of records. Sharing the knowledge is a part of the game, too.
i understand why you get so heated on "sample snitches" when you only use 1 or 2 samples. not saying its a bad thing to keep it simple... a lot of classics were made that way. but if youre getting really creative with a sample it is interesting to listen to the original and to the result. that way you can challenge other producers to come up with their version as well and see who flips shit the illest.
Good looking preme.. I use to have a Romanian chick that was a lawyer she did contracts for xzibit and Ice T divorce to his first wife. She was starting to do some contracts for me but she had to dip to Romanian her Grandma got sick. But any way you I have some copyright papers but you have to pay like $50 a per sheet i think IDK haven;t looked into it .
my point is, the determining factor to if your beat will be sold or not is up to the artist if they like it or not.I might like something and think it's heat but the cat will pick something way different ?What I thought was not that good happens to be the one they pick. I know you feel me. Why would you copyright beats if you don't know if they will be placed? If I have 30 beats and only 1 beat gets sold, why waste money copyrighting those 30 beats. It would seem useless to copyright every beat
hey su-preme hear a question. I study alot of producer an there one call araab muzik. he a produer from dipset. do u see how he make beat. does it really matter if my skills are not like his. does his skills paid the bills or what
hey supreme thanks alot for the advice. you show show hoe to become a millionaire. thanks man, you where my final lesson. i just purchase the mpc 2500 cause of you.
Yo, Preme - your words ring true. The art of Hip-hop is so lost. ....ur right...HAVE FUN! Go dig and keep the art alive! Oh...I got both your DVD's and they are DOPE! Keep it up yo!

I'm using Patch Phrase for an ill drum loop that is too difficult to play over and I have to change the BPM on it, but the only way to do that is to make a proper Patch Phrase out of it...
BKLYNBOY7 1 year ago
I was using Patch Phrase for this ill drum loop I had that I needed to change the speed on. The beat was too complext to play over so I just looped it, but like I said I need to make it a good Patch Phrase so that I can change the BPM
BKLYNBOY7 1 year ago
Yo Preme, I'm having trouble with Patch Phrase, my samples just aren't coming out smooth (too choppy) and I can't seem to get the tempo right, would you please do a video specifically to address those two issues, (How to find the BPM of a sample, and How to properly chop a sample to be used as a Patched Phrase), thanx, Peace!
BKLYNBOY7 1 year ago
@BKLYNBOY7 i show how to find the bpm in supreme the beat maker vol.1 dvd.
wgy are you changing a sample to a patch phrase...
leave it as a sample.....
just becuse it's there dont mean you have to touch it lol.
just becauce they put it there dont mean that it work or that you need it...
all im saying is that a sample is a sample and nothing more...
supreme7g 1 year ago
@BKLYNBOY7 send the sample to me .
i'll find the bpm for you and it will still be a sample not a patch...

BeatsFromDP 1 year ago
@BeatsFromDP EACH PAD IS ON MONO BUT THE PROGRAM IS ON POLY...

i understand why you get so heated on "sample snitches" when you only use 1 or 2 samples. not saying its a bad thing to keep it simple... a lot of classics were made that way. but if youre getting really creative with a sample it is interesting to listen to the original and to the result. that way you can challenge other producers to come up with their version as well and see who flips shit the illest.
chulukinat 1 year ago
i think you are missing the point.
all im saying is give the new cats a chance to understande the art of hip hop
by crate digging for samples.
when you give out all the info part of the art is lost.
if you didnt know almost all platinum songs the words and music are simple songs.
it's been that way for many years and it will remain to to stay that way..
now a days that call it dumb down.
that complicated music dont work never did. i send music to labels all the time the ABC rap always win

JerkCough1 1 year ago
my point is, the determining factor to if your beat will be sold or not is up to the artist if they like it or not.I might like something and think it's heat but the cat will pick something way different ?What I thought was not that good happens to be the one they pick. I know you feel me. Why would you copyright beats if you don't know if they will be placed? If I have 30 beats and only 1 beat gets sold, why waste money copyrighting those 30 beats. It would seem useless to copyright every beat
JerkCough1 1 year ago
@JerkCough1 IF YOU ARE GIVING OUT CD'S TO ARTIST ,LABEL, WITH YOUR MUSIC ON IT.
YOU SHOULD COPYRIGHT IT...
