I couldnt believe this is Ray Doyle. He and Lewis Collins were my first loves, when I was 10 years old :-) Great character again, I like Mr. Gently very much.
05:19 wahey thats me! I remember filming this all the main actors were really nice, we had a lot of chatting when they were rigging the lights that evening and they were really sound. The beach scene was tough though - mainly because the dunking was shot like 12 times, in the end you kinda felt cold to the bone for the poor actors lol.
Did this series get picked up? I know that he is in Spooks/MI-5 and I love that series (even before he came along it was a really amazingly written series).
P.S. Do people prefer Armitage playing the good guy or the bad guy?
It's hard to say, I love seeing Richard as the suffering villain like in Robin Hood, but i like to see him turn around and propose to Dawn French that same day. Just seeing Richard alone makes me happy.
I love the show. All episodes on netflix right now.
