Love him or hate him, Pat Smith is the first American Mixed Martial Artist. He came into UFC 1 as stand up fighter and was heel hooked by Shamrock. He came back to UFC 2 with a grappling game and actually chocked out two guys and delivered what is often called "The BEST KNOCK OUT IN UFC HISTORY" on "The Ninja" Scott Morris. Much respect is due Pat Smith..
He came back even better at UFC 3 or 4 I think. He was one of the few people at the time who actually went out and learnt new things and seemed almost let down that he didn't have a chance to show off his head-butting skills.
He seems to have mellowed out since his early days in the UFC. It would be cool to see him back in the UFC. MAybe have him fight Ken Shamrock again...?

Love him or hate him, Pat Smith is the first American Mixed Martial Artist. He came into UFC 1 as stand up fighter and was heel hooked by Shamrock. He came back to UFC 2 with a grappling game and actually chocked out two guys and delivered what is often called "The BEST KNOCK OUT IN UFC HISTORY" on "The Ninja" Scott Morris. Much respect is due Pat Smith..

He came back even better at UFC 3 or 4 I think. He was one of the few people at the time who actually went out and learnt new things and seemed almost let down that he didn't have a chance to show off his head-butting skills.
