Anti-Virus Software Download & Setup Tutorial

I have Windows XP and Windows 7 laptops. And I have not installed any anti virus software on any of them. And I don't intend to in the future and I have never had a computer virus. There are no viruses on Windows. Andrea Borman.

I think you go to start on your computer on the bottom and you go to control pannel and you go to apperance and theme and go to change desktop background and you go through it. If it's not their than sorry dude hope this info helps you/

Good tutorial, BUT you fail to mention the most important thing about security - antivirus comes second. You must have a firewall and keep windows up to date, not open email attatchments, etc. If you get a virus, the only way to be sure you are rid of it is to back up and reinstall windows, I only use an antivirus as a warning, to make sure I haven't got an infection.

Sorry but AVG free is actually quite bad compared to avast! antivirus home edition which is free! Also AVG free says everythings a virus for me it's telling me photoshop is a virus yea right photoshop a virus; it catches everything as a virus!

Using avast anti-virus, I had a major virus attack {Tarantus J. and Sality...} from a "pirated software" a while back, I had to buy an AVG license cos, avast did nothing for me. I used em both effectively till the AVG starting interfering with my firewall and internet conn.

I understand having free antivirus but if you pay like £16 when Kasparsky is on offer I got a 3 user licence and a years updates and its a great firewall also.

How would you rate AVG against Avast! ? Is it worth switching? Or should I just put both on?

Using 2 anti-virus programs in not a good idea, they mess with each other. I have found AVG to be incredibly good at protecting my system. If avast is working for you though there isn't much point in switching.
