  • Not a clue....!!!! Hideous beyond belief!!!!

  • not bad at all

  • lovely song lovely laidies

  • stunning!

  • perfect!

  • SWEET:

Women break the sex barrier once again!

The Missa Lubba was writen for a group of young male singers in the 9-18 age group.

  • How beautiful! I first heard the Missa Luba in

1962 when Father Vincent Donovan visited our high school and played an old reel to reel tape of the people in Tanganyika singing their version of these Catholic hymns. It was so amazing... I still get goosebumps when I hear this music!

  • I have an old scratchy LP copy of the Missa Lubba.(Troubadors du Roi Bandouin) (SP?)

Do you know if anyone has digitized the Congolise Mass music?

I've heard that there is a Xaverian Brother who teaches in the DRC that is working to keep this work alive. (David Mahoney CFX)

    (Former Harvard Glee Club Member?)

  • This was in "Lost and Delirious" I loved this song!

  • Beautiful.

  • Good god, I cannot stop watching this. It's brought me to tears several times.

  • This is beautiful.

  • Holy, Holy, Holy ; Lord GOD of power and might..(Yes some of still remeber Latin). YOU MAKE A GLORIOUS SONG UNTO THE LORD!!! I wish that the ENTIRE MASS was on you tube!!

  • 'bout 35 years ago I bought an Album (LP) of Les Troubadors des Trois Bedhouins, a Congo CHoir singing this, with a native background - which was a memorable track: this is equally amazing, especially considering the urban environment ! ex-cell-ent! [ps: this was the Theme of a Movie, starring Malcolm McDowell, a very young, Malc, called 'If .....'; about 'Fagging', what would now be called 'Hazing' at an English Public (ie expensive, private) School.

  • Yes, I came here to YouTube to find the Missa Luba because I just watched "If..." at the theatre today. Great movie!

  • I think you mean Trobadors...Roi Bendouin,

(Translation) (Singers of the Bednouin King)

It was originally a young boys chorus.

Belgan Congo was the country name back then.

Zaiere was the next name. Now it's DRC (Democratic Republic of the Congo)

There's a Xaverian Brother ..Former Harvard Chorus Member.. that is teaching there

now that has a tape recording of the original album.

    (David Mahoney CFX)

  • Very Beautiful!

    I love this song. Congratulations!

    Regards

    Brazil
