The Star Forge gave me epic chills big-time when I played this game. Its incredible age and power just so overwhelming and the sinister nature of its construction, more than just some technological terror, virtually infused with the power of the Dark Side. I feel a mixed sense of awe and fear when I hear this theme.
@mlvstwtc You switch to easy just for that part and fight. It's always a good idea to stock up on medkits first and make sure you have a jedi that knows heal
The constructors of the Star Forge were the Rakata, whose Galactic Empire peaked around 100,000 years before the events in SWKotOR. They were the first true civilization I think, observing the development of 'lesser' sentients at the time, much like the Protheans did in Mass Effect.
The Star Forge was the pinnacle of their engineering prowess.
@Kevooi "Legacy of the force"-novels added another creator race, called the celestials, who were even older than the Rakata, about a million years before. When the infinite empire began to expand, celestials however weren't anymore around, apparently having left the galaxy. But not before creating a hyperspace anomaly that bisected the galaxy separating it from the unknown regions. Probably not a coincidence, since Rakatan's empire was concentrated around the unknown regions.
@Ruosteinenknight Right, forgot about them. Thanks for reminding. Funny how there's always some sort of a precursor race in BioWare's games, of whom little to nothing is known, but whom inspire great awe in the "modern" characters.
The Star Forge is more than just a space station. In some ways, it is like a living creature. It hungers. And it can feed on the dark side that is within all of us.
man this game was some epic stuff... only bladurs gate 2 can touch it although kotor 1 mood was much more intense. i still get chills when thinking about the sith tombs :D we need more!! dragon age was nice too but simply not that perfect... its been 8 fucking years since i played this game i want MORE!! :D
@lordrevan57 The Delusion of a sith spawn believing himself as Darth Revan is irrevalent compared to the power of the force....And I have no idea what im saying i just thought itd sound cool :)
@GUNDAM0ARCHE Believe? Hah.. I do not believe. I know certainly. You are correct; there is nothing compared to the power of the Force. That is why I am filling my self with it, steeping myself in the studies of the Dark side and of the Light side, the Ashla and the Bogan.
They send out immense numbers to make you feel overwhelmed, you have to really prepare your character for endgame status, and if you were full darkside all the game, you would have an easier time due to your darkside powers
I was a very high level soldier with tons of force powers and energy. Even so, I used up like 60 life support packs and medpacs of all types to beat Malak by myself in the final duel. It also didn't help that I didn't know during that first run through that I was able to destroy his power sources by killing the captive Jedi...>_>
well... run like hell. i forgot how i did it. i had same problem but i think that i did it with using a lot of granades and running away every time mty vitality dropped under 100. also use force powers.if you get through that you have to kill malak running and wating force to recover and heal and then hit him 2,3 times. thats how i did it for the first time.
@visorak168x , ok facing only one to three at a time ain't so bad, but when their numbers begin to swell to six, seven and eight and nine (robots and troopers included) then the pain begins.

Also, the first several seconds of this theme are strongly reminiscent of the Emperor's Throne Room theme from RotJ, and rightly so.
