easily one of the most underrated games for NES. It has so many sprites and dialogue! And such great game mechanics, it plays VERY VERY well. My cousin had an original cart which I played the shit out of when I was young.
Played this ten plus years ago and it's still fun, even though I don't have the game anymore. Back then my brothers and I used to fondly call it "Ninja Cats" as we didn't know what the Japanese title means.
I had this game as a kid, me and my sister would always try to beat it during the weekends(when we were allowed to play video games) and we never managed to get passed the last level. :(
.... Wow I didn't know that the series is that old. o.o I only seen it at the age of 7 on the Warner brother's Channel. BTW do they sell this on ebay?
I also uploaded videos of this game in my account, this game its soo good looking, the fact that you can change characters while in play and each one haves 3 ninpo skills its just amazing for a nes game, i have a version that haves the first mission translated, but the rest texts are glitched, if some one can give me a full english translated version of this game...
This game looked like it could have had a 16 bit upgrade on the SNES. In a perfect world, someone gets this game translated, updates the graphics a bit, and releases it on the DS.
The show was made in 1990 in Japan and came out in America in 1991. They've shown reruns on American TV up until 1997 (I think it was part of UPN Kids or something), so I don't think its age has anything to do with you having not heard of it.
I had this game at one time and into it Game's.Game is often very cool even I finished off last LVL but it a long time ago I had it as if I was supposed to judge it I would give it 11/10 xD
I had this game at one time and into it grałem.Game is often very cool even I finished off last LVL but it a long time ago I had it as if I was supposed to judge it I would give it 11/10 xD
So is this game good? It looks pretty good. I just got interested in Samurai Pizza Cats, and I just finished watching an episode on YouTube, and I must say, it rocks. And I like how animated the cutscenes are in this game. They're quite animated, considering NES cutscenes.
Those other cats are the Samurai Pizza cat's rescue team, they would appear through out the show on occasion. One used cannons, one used a drill, one could fly and one used scuba gear. In English their names are General Catton, Bat Cat, Meowzma O' Tool and Spritz T. Cat..
It looked like Guido and Polly where selectable in the begining.
Yes. And also, the Japanese version is better. Yattaro is my personal favourite character on Kyatto Ninden Teyandee. I will most likely get this game for my Famicom. I want to find all of the Japanese episodes, so I can watch them all.
The English version of the anime is very wierd, since they scrapped the Japanese voice overs instead of translating and they made up their own soundtrack.
But I have only watched SPC in english, and I think it's pretty funny. Anyone remember all those petition websites asking to bring Samurai pizza cats back?
I still prefer the original Japanese version. The US version isn't as good. And the names are very crappy in comparison to Japan (Yattaro vs Speedy; Sukashii vs Guido; Pururin vs Polly. The English names are pretty stupid, whereas the japanese names are cool).
I like Yattrou. He's just like Naruto, Usagi (Sailor Moon), and Ichigo (Tokyo Mew Mew). Speedy is more like Garfield and Heathcliff where he jokes alot. But I like him, too.
Yattaro is my favourite. He will be the one used throughout most of the game whenever I get this game and when my Famicom comes in the mail. I might use Pururun ir Sukashii in a few levels.
This would be perfect if I could have been able to play this game back in 1997. Back then, I was obsessed with that show, and I also had an NES that I would play that I had finally got last year (I was poor as shit). I would fantasize about what it would be like if there were SPC action figures, and IF THERE WAS A SPC GAME FOR THE NES! If I would have even known of the existence of that game back then, I would have freaked out. Oh, well.
If I may ask my good sir, what are they talking about in general? Just a brief overview would be interesting, if it does not take up too much of your time.
I enjoyed watching this! Do you understand Japanese? Well, it was interesting to watch, I never realised that they had a game for the Pizza Cats in Japan. I'd love to see another mission and for a game, it looks fun.
my brother played this game all th way through and i beat the final boss! ah..memories!

It could almost be a kids' version of Ninja Gaiden! And wouldn't you know it? It's also made by Tecmo!
(Sukashii can also use the Windmill Throwing Star in this game!)
