easily one of the most underrated games for NES. It has so many sprites and dialogue! And such great game mechanics, it plays VERY VERY well. My cousin had an original cart which I played the shit out of when I was young.

It could almost be a kids' version of Ninja Gaiden! And wouldn't you know it? It's also made by Tecmo!

This game looked like it could have had a 16 bit upgrade on the SNES. In a perfect world, someone gets this game translated, updates the graphics a bit, and releases it on the DS.

The show was made in 1990 in Japan and came out in America in 1991. They've shown reruns on American TV up until 1997 (I think it was part of UPN Kids or something), so I don't think its age has anything to do with you having not heard of it.

So is this game good? It looks pretty good. I just got interested in Samurai Pizza Cats, and I just finished watching an episode on YouTube, and I must say, it rocks. And I like how animated the cutscenes are in this game. They're quite animated, considering NES cutscenes.

Those other cats are the Samurai Pizza cat's rescue team, they would appear through out the show on occasion. One used cannons, one used a drill, one could fly and one used scuba gear. In English their names are General Catton, Bat Cat, Meowzma O' Tool and Spritz T. Cat..

Yes. And also, the Japanese version is better. Yattaro is my personal favourite character on Kyatto Ninden Teyandee. I will most likely get this game for my Famicom. I want to find all of the Japanese episodes, so I can watch them all.

The English version of the anime is very wierd, since they scrapped the Japanese voice overs instead of translating and they made up their own soundtrack.

But I have only watched SPC in english, and I think it's pretty funny. Anyone remember all those petition websites asking to bring Samurai pizza cats back?

I still prefer the original Japanese version. The US version isn't as good. And the names are very crappy in comparison to Japan (Yattaro vs Speedy; Sukashii vs Guido; Pururin vs Polly. The English names are pretty stupid, whereas the japanese names are cool).

I like Yattrou. He's just like Naruto, Usagi (Sailor Moon), and Ichigo (Tokyo Mew Mew). Speedy is more like Garfield and Heathcliff where he jokes alot. But I like him, too.

This would be perfect if I could have been able to play this game back in 1997. Back then, I was obsessed with that show, and I also had an NES that I would play that I had finally got last year (I was poor as shit). I would fantasize about what it would be like if there were SPC action figures, and IF THERE WAS A SPC GAME FOR THE NES! If I would have even known of the existence of that game back then, I would have freaked out. Oh, well.
