I was fortunate to see the Seeds of Time perform in the early 80s and saw them play under the name Prism back in the late 70s. Great band. They always put on a great show.
Just a little trivia: The song "Muscrat Rumble" title was taken from an old 78 my mother had called "Muscrat Ramble". Go figure.....S.O.T. Best band this side of the rockies.....
Vancouver's greatest band also recorded "My Home Town" a classic along with "Cryin' The Blues", Muskrat Rumble" and "Baby Doll"...they later evolved into "Prism" a radically different band. Gerry Doucette of "Doucette was a guitarist, as well as Tom Lavin, who formed "Powder Blues"..looking for the classic "Nickles and Dimes" by these guys too!
Very happy to see this posted again. The Swedish british Cavalry to the rescue. The CD Immortal is available, but most likely through me. Kaleidoscope, a Procol Harem song is not on the album, as it is a compilaltion of originals. These very entertaining fellows are all alive....and if we could just order them to rehearse, and get on the stage!
Thanks for the info. I didn't know that this was a Procol Harem song, so a double recommendation for Seeds of Time for the great cover version and Procol Harem for the great songwriting. I hope this helps both groups shift a few more CDs!
Seems like they only originally released a couple of singles, later than this around the beginning of the 70's. There was a CD release of their earlier recordings (called "Immortal"), but this is now deleted and for some reason did not include this song.
@HemiVic 2 years later - did you ever get an answer? There was a CD album of the Seeds of Time released, it's available through YouTube member theamazingjim or you can send me a message and I'll gladly pass it along!

I remember having another original song (called "Long Time Ago" I think) from this show on a bootleg DVD.
Do you also have this one? Can't find it here on Youtube.
And is the song "Long Time Ago" available on this Immortal CD release?
Where can I get? Or is someone maybe willing to rip it for me?
Keep this music alive!

I wish they stayed a psychedelic band like in this video, that later stuff you mentioned was very disappointing to me.

Very disappointing and, bewildering. I was hoping someone could explain 'Prism' . They really sucked.
