We are currently living and witnessing the destruction of the U.S. by obama's hand. This current administration is a disaster and all the liberal/democrats need to be voted out of office to save this country!

see this is where you have to be smart...when times are good for the middle class and the country is prosperous, Republicans want to spend...but spend on what you ask? spend on totally unnecessary things like wars and then throw in lots of tax cuts. so it tumbles the country downwards into a depression...then once we have a depression, the GOP will say, no more spending, spending doesn't work, let's have more tax cuts, which just makes everyone except the super wealthy, worse off...got it?
I wasn't for any of the wars when the Rep were in office. My suggestion is everyone in Washington DC quit the spending now. This country is broke and we dont need to continue to spend money we dont have. Both parties are responsible for bankrupting us, get it?

Even if we are in a recession, we must spend, because without spending you can NEVER get out of a recession...if you have 10 million without work...there's going to be violence, crimes, that adds to social costs.get it?
Oh and if you haven't heard Obama just sent more troops to the quagmire that is Afghanistan. The only change is change for the worse. Obama's redistribute the wealth ideology will ensure that we are all equally impoverished. Get it!

Being factual isn't biased. We've borrowed $275M a day from China since '03 & this must be paid back -doubt it because we're in 2 wars now. A deregulation Bill without regulations & rules allowed greedy CEOs to do as they wanted which folded our financial system. There are oil men in office & when gas prices go up American are shocked? Timing is everything & while they go out of office the price of gas goes down. Ask Bush if Haliburton paid for his $2M home!
Dr. Stiglitz fails to mention the decline of the dollar and it's roll in driving up the price of oil. The dollar's decline was clearly a result of war spending and growing governmental debt.
