I am missing a picture of our wonderfull german spacecraft engineer Wernher von Braun in this intro, never forget that Mr. von Braun was the inventor of the saturn 5 rocket and the moon mission, I cant understand that americans dont remember Wernher von Braun, never forget he was a friend of President Kennedy during the hardest times of cold war and battle between the systems of communism and the usa
Rod Stewart's version is THE ORIGINAL, recorded in 1998, and it was called "Faith of the Heart"
"Where my Heart Will Take Me" is a COVER recorded by Russell Watson in 2001 for Enterprise, and while it IS the best version of the song; it isn't, and never will be the original
Right and wrong. Rod Stewart's version is the closing theme of the 1988 movie 'Patch Adams' (with Robin Williams as the title character). Paramount brought in Russell Watson to remake part of it as the opening for 'Enterprise'. For all practical purposes, the CLOSING theme of 'Enterprise' is the 'Enterprise' theme.
@Baltzley1 True, the Rod Stewart track was written for Patch Adams by Diane Warren (who also did "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" for Armageddon), when Enterprise came around the song was rearranged and covered by Russel Watson.
Nevertheless, it does describe the theme of the show very well, and the addition of lyrics makes it an 'out of the box' Star Trek theme. The closing credits are called 'Archer's Theme', by Dennis McCarthy AFAIK.
The Russell Watson version sounds like he's singing karaoke in my opinion. The Rod Stewart version has heart and soul in the singing.

i like russel watson better. but this guys cool. most times i hate theme songs but this is the only intro that i like!
johnadams8000 2 years ago
This isn't a theme song. The Star Trek people took an existing Rod Stewart song and used it.
