150,000 parameters every second?? Somebody help me understand this? How many sensors could they possibly have on this thing? I imagine you might have things like fuel flow rate, engine stage temperatures and pressures, control surface responses, strain gauges in the wings?

The A380 was designed to fly slightly slower than a 747, about 20-30 knots less. This helps on the fuel economy and range.

By the way the B747 went to 0.99 Mach ( A China Airline B747 SP in 1985 went passed the speed of sound in a dive over the Pacific ocean) ...I also believe the B747 is slightly faster then the A380....

@5424301 the airbus a380 is faster cause of their new engines made especially for this jet.
