  • SO CUTE!!! <3

  • aww he sounds like my past Cockatiel Mango :(

  • HER VOICE !!!! it makes my ears bleed !!!

    nice bird though :D

  • gosh they make the cutest noises.

  • We also have a green-cheeked conure that we were told would probably never speak well if at all. He has twice the vocabulary of the teil & even says "gotta poop" & we walk him over to his cage & he poops! If you ignore him when he says "gotta poop" he'll wait another minute & say "GOTTA GO POOPY NOW!" I swear on all my previously loved & adored but passed on parakeets. He calls me Mama & his chosen person Baby. If I say "Right Nicky?", he says "Right!" He sings real words & dances. Incredible!

  • If you hadn't taught him to whistle first, he would talk in a voice instead of a whistle-like voice. I'm just sayin'! I'm sure most people you know don't know what the heck he's saying...but my cockatiel on the other hand has a 200 word and phrase vocabulary & everyone can understand him. He doesn't whistle though...not even the wolf whistle.

  • \y v[

My cockatiel zipper typed that :D

  • A wolf whistle was the first thing we ever taught our cockatiel :3.

  • Lmfao trippy does the wolf whistle at... 0:21 - 0:22 then I think you wolf whistled too xD

  • His name is "Trippy" xD

  • How the fuck did I end here?

  • They make good pets, I have 2 and they are pretty easy to train, but don't get one expecting them to be able to sing tons of stuff, mine only sing like 2 songs at most

  • i want a cockatail now

  • :)))))))))))) I think the owner has started talking like the bird instead of the "vice versa" :)))) Very cute on both ends.

  • 8 people were bitten by cockatoos

  • Immensely adorable! AAAAAAAHHHHH SO CUTE!

  • No guys I know what the bird is tryin to say.. its tryin to let the owner know it wants girlfriend but the owner will never listen after its told her many of times

  • I heard Trippy also say in the beginning - "I'll talk to you later." What a smart cockateil!

  • 0:26 "fuck you bitch"

  • ah your bird looks like twiter he flew away because my mother wasent smart enough to trim his wings and she went out side with him and well flap gone you know now shes got 2 quaker parrots and god i hate them they hate me i come in view they start screeching at me

  • very cute <3

  • I LOVE WHEN HE SAYS "BABY BIRD"

  • nice vid!!! you should teach him to say gday mate, so he knows where hes from haha, excellent sounding tho he has a bit of an american accent going on there. if you like birds try the australian lorrikeet, lorri's are very playful some what similar to a dog, also very affectionate.

  • Hes so cute ^^ I have a cockatiel that looks like him, only less yellow. Did you know, that 'flirt' whistle is INSTICTIVE for male cockatiels? ^^ My mom laughed at that, then went "o-o Seriously?" when I explained that it was true. Oscar(his name) is chatty but only whistles, chatters, and says 'Hello' and 'Oscar'. He also laughs, which makes me laugh, then my mom, and its a ring of laughing XD

  • I love Trippy! What a beautiful voice!

  • Oh, Trippy is just soooo cute! and smart!

  • AWWW! I like the cute lil chirps the bird makes, i wish my cockatiel was like that but he squawked and screeched a lot so we got rid of him. And i do NOT miss him ^w^ But ur cockatiel is so cute :3

  • All my cockatail doase is try to bite me.

  • @SaintsXstreet

Ahahahah my old cockatiel used to try and bite everyone but me.

  • @SaintsXstreet

No wonder it tries to bite you with spelling like that.

  • @SaintsXstreet me too. but they still love me <3

  • @SaintsXstreet it needs to be trained

  • @SaintsXstreet You must of gotten a messed up breed.. Idk what a cockaTAIL is..

  • @MichaelAdrianeTorres

Douse it make you feel better correcting spelling?

  • Sounds like my girlfriend.

  • Kinda reminds me of R2D2.

  • @misspinkpunkykat the bird does too.... OH SNAP

  • @misspinkpunkykat such a good observation. lol

  • @misspinkpunkykat LOL and suddenly the bird has little gadgets coming out of it's chest and hooks into this women's computer.

  • sounds like stans mom on south park

  • i used to have a female cockatiel and she only said "hi" and "bye", but I loved her i always used to let her fly around the house and crawl on the floor. She was quite loveable

she died like 4 years ago and im gonna buy another cockatiel on sunday Im soo excited :D

  • more trippy videos (and his doggie sister bella) on theparadoxgirl youtube channel!

  • he is gorgeous, i have one just like him and he says im a beautiful birdie birdie boy

  • Okay so i have the same type of bird as this (or at least he looks the same) and mine is very grumpy, timid, and hisses at everything that moves, he never wistles or anything, please help! i want him to be happy, and he is very very heathy? so is he just a grumpy bird or is he like depressed or something?! please please please help!

  • @rhjones440 You have to start slow with them. Birds are prey animals so they are scared initially. With enough patience, they can become very friendly.

  • I wanna trip on acid with trippy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to trip on acid with my birds hehe

  • Ahh my cockatiels voice is much deeper, I want a high pitched little cute one like yours!

  • Almost sounds like R2D2 from star wars.

  • I had a cockatiel that looked exactly like that called "Rippy".

    Creepy.

  • next pokemon :p

  • Mine says pretty bird and sometimes grumbles at us indecipherably. What a little smartie you have!

  • how long for u have this bird?

  • omg how cute. Did you get him when he was little? how old was he ?

  • i don't hear him saying words. am i crazy??

  • @LizaLavolta Birds often speak in "birdie", but everyone can tell what he is saying after I say it a few times (IRL).

  • His voice is so high pitched, my cockatiel has a really low and relaxed whistle.

  • I actually your voice is more dramatic than his

  • bahahahahaaaaa my mum has one of these birds, they r adorable

  • *cries* I wish I had a bird but can't....I own too many cats that would eat the birdy : (

  • i cant place ur accent but I LOVE IT.

  • @mzkhilari Southern U.S. :-) thank you.

  • Sounds like R2-D2 XD

  • so my cousin has three baby cockatiels 2 lutinos and 1 normal grey that is complete grey and it whistles a lot can this normal grey be a male????? cause he;s selling them and i need a male cockatiel for my female

  • Bird have beter voice than u

  • Awww, I have 3 of those, they make such great little friends :)

  • You have the most interesting (in a good way i promise!) accent I have ever heard! Where are you from? ^_^

  • Aww. I miss my 2 cockatiels. They would say pretty bird and 'that's a good boy'.

  • Thinking of getting a bird. i came across this video and now i want one of these! First i thought a nightingale would be sweet! Then i fell in love with the canary and now i want a cute little parrot with red cheeks! Ugh! Cant make up my mind! So what should i know about these cuties! What are they like?

  • @maharley27 please do your research. birds are messy and noisy. for smaller birds, cockatiels are the best. lovebirds are more hatebirds and parrotlets are pretty evil too (in my experience). if you want to handle them, i'd stay away from nightengales and canaries.

  • @theParadoxgirl -The most feed back i get is that birds are very messy. its probably the only feed back ive gotten since i anounced about getting a bird, LOL!!! I havent gotten one yet. Im still doing my research and getting tips on what is best for me and my life style. Thankyou for the tips. Ill definatley use them :)

  • HOW CUTE!!!

  • gorgeous bird

  • That is so cute. You can tell he's imitating you, adorablllle.

Also! Did you get him from a breeder and at what age? I'm going to get one soon, his name will be Spanakopita or just Spanak for short. C:

  • Its R2-D2 !!!!

  • That bird is soo cute. But omg that woman's voice was annoying.

  • how cuuute! ♥

  • My cockatiel loves your birds voice lol.

  • i had a cockatiel but my dad let him out and scared him and he flew away. :'( i got a new one this year and it looks just like the one in the vid!!

  • Lol, I miss my cockatiel... :(((((((((( She was the best bird EVER. But she was unable to talk.

  • do u know how to get a cinnamon tiel to talk? ive been trying to teach mine for a while and he still wont talk.

  • @SMSKS3000 I have a cinnamon tiel, and he just picked up the phrases that we often repeated to him. His first 2 phrases were c'mon and hurry up. I think because he loves my dad, and my dad would say that to him all the time to call him over. Dad is the only one he will copy, so dad whistled the same tune over and over, and he eventually picked it up. i have heard that female tiels can not talk, so maybe yours is a female. how old is it?

  • @SMSKS3000 male or female? the females don't talk as much (some never talk) as males.

  • I am so jealous! I wish my birds were nice and social! How did you train your bird?

  • @bridgett678 clicker training! it is the BEST! my baby is potty trained too.

  • awww thats so cute i want one (:

  • so cute

  • My cockatiel makes the same kissing noises! :)

    Trippy is adorable!!

  • Cuuuuuute :-D

  • lol its u talking ina a high pitch voice again lol... doesnt help the bird

  • omg i would just die from cuteness if that woke me up in the morning

  • @birdablaze It is the cutest thing ever :) hehe we wake up to a special rendition of happy birthday and Tchaikovski's army tune every morning

  • YA HUNGRY?

  • ZOMG I LOVE HE'S CHIRP!

  • VERY CUTE . ONLY GOT 1 LEFT FROM 3 NOW A LITTLE SHY MUMMY BIRD . AT LEAST SHE GETS TO BE TOP DOG FOR A WHILE HEY :)

  • Amazing. I just rescued a tiel. How old is Trippy? I have a Female named Penny. I have had her 28 days. When I got her she was in a small Parakeet cage, eating bread and had bugs. She just had her wings clipped and spends most of the day on my shoulder. She has started doing a loud whistle(cat call) when she wants out. She has even laid eggs. We believe she is about 5,

  • saaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay what?

  • lol m y bird is going CRAZY listening to this video.

  • it loves u

  • males usually have yellow faces

  • I just got 3 of these how can you tell the males from females? Do they really talk?

  • Males typically have brighter facial feathers. The females don't talk nearly as much, some never learn words.

  • @paradoxgirl69 becuase unlike human females, cockatiel females know the should be in the kitchen makin bird seed instead of making pointless noise.

  • @paradoxgirl69 Mine said "schmack, mack, whack" once when she was young and never repeated it.

  • Males typically have brighter facial feathers. The females don't talk nearly as much, some never learn words.

  • @paradoxgirl69 I had a pair some years ago. The male sang the Andy Griffith song, among other short phrases ... the female could only say "meow" whenever the male called, "HERE kitty kitty kitty" ◕_◕

  • @paradoxgirl69 Is your bird friendly with others, because I heard that most birds when there young are ok unless there getting older and not that many people around, they can attack others they don't know is this true./

  • @Mr291229 cockatiels are pretty laid back. other birds will attack, but tiels usually won't attack other birds. esp if they are introduced properly.

  • @paradoxgirl69 I also heard that only female tiels have bars/stripes on their tail feathers. That's how you can also tell them apart.

  • look for the RED CHEEKS, only the males have them.

  • @yumyumsashimi Males tend to have the yellow mask of feathers, females usually have little or no yellow feathers

  • @yumyumsashimi how much did you pay for 'em

  • @djEvilDude I've had him for 5 years now. and only paid $40 bucks. DO NOT BUY FROM A PETSTORE, breeders only for the best birds.

  • @yumyumsashimi If you look at the underside of the tails, the females will have horizontal lines on the underside. This also applies to juveniles, so you have to wait until they've moulted for the first time to be absolutely sure

  • @yumyumsashimi Males have red cheeks.

  • @JustinAndrews74 they are not red cheeks they have bright orange cheeks and hen birds have dull orange cheeks

  • @yumyumsashimi male cockatiels have bright orange cheeks and hens have dull orange cheeks,

  • i have a lutino named rocky but she dose not talk, we got two that sing thouge

  • omg that is a beautiful cockatiel!!! I have a cockatiel that Im taming right now quite a bird lol.. Ihave the same computer as you haha

  • lol sounds like R2 D2 lol

  • should have hweard my male tiel he started whistling when he heard yours :D

  • lies.

  • he's so cute !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is sweet:) Very smart bird. I have a female tiel...any ideas how to help her learn to talk?

  • Female birds do not vocalize very well. They might can learn a few words, but definitely are not the talkers that the males are. Good luck!

  • @mommy7532 buy friendboy to her :))

  • @mommy7532 I had a female tiel and she did not want to talk no matter what i did, So i just accepted that she did not want to talk. but she flew away one day and I miss her so much

  • @ricturtle females do not talk nearly as much as males.

  • that is so cute. my 1 is called joey adn he sticks his head under his bell adn nibbles the clapper on it and says allright joey when ever u walk past. freaky. how old is he? mine is 19

  • My cockiteil is about one and a half, Jet. He does the same thing with his bell,, he also likes to get cuddles from his bell

  • soo cute!
