  • What do you using for this drawing?

  • I how he paid that guy from the street

  • good. Thank you!

  • really nice,i love your work a lot, you truly inspire me by the way, check my art out..i want opinions to further my art

  • very good!!!

  • nice good work

  • What kind of a charcoal and paper r u using to achieve this effect. When i practise this technique my shadows turn out to be kinda spongy and i cant quite place the charcoal smooth and equal everywhere.Strokes from the stick remain unblanded. I use the softest char I can find- basically a burnd stick and blend with a brush...so it's prob the paper. Mine is smooth...shouldnt it be ? TY for your time, your art is great!

  • Please tell me what you are using to do your drawing. It looks like a palette knife but you're working in graphite. Brilliant work. Stay true.

  • I also name david an i like to paint

  • Luckiest kid in the world at the end.

  • this is crazy good, i love it

  • Morality is the same as art: they're both a matter of drawing a line some place.

  • This looks really good, but a bit expensive don't you think? $99 ? I know you need to make a living but this is a joke..

  • You "forced" me to subscribe to your channel :-)

  • Well I order the DVD...but goodness...this is really expensive...It is good...but wow...I sure hope your painting DVD is more substantial...come on David...we are all artists of limited means...ease up on the price ...please.

  • adoro questo uso del bianco per fare i colpi di luce

  • Oh, I'm definitely buying this.

  • awesome, really blows me out, lovely line work, as great as I have ever seen.

  • What is that tool you use at :57 and 1:45? Something you made? This drawing is stunning; thank you for sharing it!

  • One of favourite draughtmen today!

  • WOW you are amazing!! If i may can i ask a quick question? I noticed that your charcoal pencil was very sharp...my pencils, on the other hand break when using any kind of sharpener so im forced to use exacto knives. I was just wondering how you managed to sharpen your pencil without it breaking!!

  • What an incredible artist.

  • a modern day Ingres, Bougerou, Davinci and David all in one. amazing does not begin to describe it!.

  • @PD19954 um i appreciate this, but I'm soooo faraway from being the artist that those guys were, I'm only an art infant in comparison. those guys are my heroes..

  • @DavidJonKassan well you are on the right path to being them , practicing and doing art the way the masters such as the aforementioned did it, which is quite rare with artists these days, who dont value drawing as much, you and a few others are exceptions it seem. Especially your skin tones are amazing, so life like.

you an art infant? i would love to have the skills you have, i hope one day to learn from you, ie attending one of your workshops and buying your DVDs

  • @PD19954 ...Well I have to disagree...many of the new artists today DEFINITELY value drawing...look at the Gnommn school...all the people in any animation or related...You learn quickly " line is everything...then value, then colour" Corot....what he said is so true...if one paints in any shape or form representational...drawing is everything...everything...your painting is as good as your drawing...

  • @jetsonjoe i agree fully with you. what I was saying was there are few artists these days that value that.

  • @PD19954 Who the hell is 'Bougerou'?

  • @Luminc only the greatest academic painter ever. if you dont know who Bouguereau is then you need to go back to school

  • I love the way you show how alluring the line of the pencil is at the very beginning. I love how modest you are! The work is the most important thing... This really shows a fantastic artist at the height of his powers. Brilliant work, David.

  • @LisaGloriaArt thanks LG!

  • Thanks everyone for the kind words on the trailer.

  • the technique is really interesting and the painter itself and his works are stunning

  • Woah.

  • This video is beyond wonderful. The concept is amazing. The technique is awe inspiring. The results are unbelievable. You rock David. FAN-FRIGIN-TASTIC!!!!

  • whoa! looks great, I'm definitely going to buy this.
