They're both different, but I'de say inFamous 2 (inFamous sequel) is a lot better than Prototype, awesome game. Very different that inFamous which can get kinda boring, and you get to have that sense of being a superhero (or super villain, depends in which side you choose to be on!). Btw, you need a PS3 to play inFamous ;D

I hated transforming into any of the given (10) people. I never have played Infamous, though, so I don't know if my vote is really valid, but I have watched my friend play it. It seemed pretty good, but I never played it.
Prototype felt like an old Spiderman game to me. I'm glad I pirated it, because I stopped playing it after an hour of playing it. I spent more time playing and replaying the Infamous 2 demo at Walmart.
i recently played pototype and i like it and hated at the same time the grafics are dull and boring the powers are nice but i hate most of them couse there is no particular use for each i can do the same with only one...infamous is hyped dude thats the mother fumes of power games. i like it becouse i was a big fan of INFERNO and it reminds me of it.

For those not affiliated with the Church of Electrokinesis, I have other reasons. Infamous has style and is both fun and challenging. The story and the characters are engaging, unlike the shit-stain that is Alex Mercer. In Prototype you get to fight against the most generic and unoriginal of enemies. A) Military or B) Zombie-mutant-things. The simple fact that Conduits exist in Infamous makes the enemies better, in my book.

@DawnEntirely (No spoilers) inFAMOUS 1 is better in my opinion because of three things: Story, game-play, and characters. The characters are developed and well rounded, not static and monotonous like in Prototype. The game-play you already know about however you should know the aiming system is slightly different in the first one. There is a lack of color in the game, but compared to Prototype it's as colorful as a nightclub. I won't tell you the story, unless you want. Hope this helps!
well I personally think Prototype is better, because of how badass the powers were, DawnDawn said that Prototypes world was grose, It is, but Infamous wasn't much better, I have never beaten Infamous because its missions were so repetitive and boring, but i do know what happens in the end and yada yada, and Dawn is gorgeous ;D

@cheesteakjimmys I %100 agree with you. I have been an Oblivion fan from day 1, and have NEVER had time for the Khaijits and Argonians in character selection (due mainly to how they looked.) In Skyrim however, it seems they have really added a pair of scaly and hairy ball sacks to the two species and given them well... balls lol. :D
The combat in Prototype just got really annoying because they kept throwing more and more enemies and your powers stayed basically the same. I really liked the traversal in Prototype, it reminded me of a Hulk game that the developers had previously made. In my opinion Infamous had a much better combat mechanic and some of the traversal stuff could get too time consuming, but it was a better game overall.

I haven't played either Prototype or Infamous, so I can't really say anything about them other than "Ooh, Shiny!" Therefore, I'll ramble about Skyrim for a wee bit since I know more about that. I've seen a bunch of articles and things referring to how it's bringing back some of the qualities that made Morrowind great, specifically the alien feeling of the landscape.
I believed InFamous was better than Prototype, mostly because the story was better written & more engaging. Also the leveling & combat of InFamous felt more polished overall. the problem for me with Prototype's story is that by the end of the game I felt like the developers left the main character somewhere between being a evil bad-ass & a whiny bitch, at which point I lost both all Sympathy & respect for him.

I finished Prototype. I didn't finish inFamous. I stopped playing it when reaching the second island,map,area thingy. Prototype has more fun factor (flying whooooo)
While prototype 1 is by no means stellar in all aspects, the core gameplay in Infamous 1 is more annoying than difficult, with enemy sniper A.I. quick scoping for the first 15 hrs then one final boss who's rediculously overpowerd compared to everything else. It turned me off buying the second game.
Protopype 2 will probably be interesting at least you'll have more than 1 climbing animation (infamous 1 climbing was lame) and it'll at least take some strategy to get through, should be fun..
The protagonist has a much more developed personality.
The environments are much more detailed and varied.
Navigating the environment. While prototype is fun with the flying and running I feel as if inFAMOUS is a bit more difficult and fun to find your personal navigation style. (ex. use power lines a lot out in the open or rooftops with cover.)
Also, if you do plan to play them play the 1st before the 2nd because Cole changes a lot between both games.
Definetly preferred Infamous over prototype. Had a much better storyline. and gave you more of a superhero feel, although both fell victim to glitchy controls and the redundant side quests,(beat this guy up chase this run over that blah blah) I do agree with you on the gliding ability in prototype was a nice touch and though it had its moments they definetely had solid animation in parkour movements used. I suggest you DL dc universe if you haven't already.
Infamous...hands down..Got better story, acting, and gameplay. And unlike Prototype, it has a sequel that's already out. I even got plans to start a good and evil walkthrough of Infamous at the end of this month, I'm doing the evil side, my girlfriend's doing the good side. So again I say infamous.

I dunno, I think a lot of what makes a game or story great is it's epicness. Just how powerful you feel or how great the scale of destruction there is. Being something that can slice a dozen people at once made me feel a lot more tough and Brandy McMeanshisBusiness.

The characters are developed and well rounded, not static and monotonous like in Prototype. The game-play you already know about however you should know the aiming system is slightly different in the first one. There is a lack of color in the game, but compared to Prototype it's as colorful as a nightclub. I won't tell you the story, unless you want. Hope this helps!

well I personally think Prototype is better, because of how badass the powers were, DawnDawn said that Prototypes world was grose, It is, but Infamous wasn't much better, I have never beaten Infamous because its missions were so repetitive and boring, but i do know what happens in the end and yada yada, and Dawn is gorgeous ;D

@cheesteakjimmys I %100 agree with you. I have been an Oblivion fan from day 1, and have NEVER had time for the Khaijits and Argonians in character selection (due mainly to how they looked.) In Skyrim however, it seems they have really added a pair of scaly and hairy ball sacks to the two species and given them well... balls lol. :D

The combat in Prototype just got really annoying because they kept throwing more and more enemies and your powers stayed basically the same. I really liked the traversal in Prototype, it reminded me of a Hulk game that the developers had previously made. In my opinion Infamous had a much better combat mechanic and some of the traversal stuff could get too time consuming, but it was a better game overall.

i personally couldnt get into marrowind when i 1st played it. actually drove me nuts after the first few minutes of playing. but then again at the time i was playing fable which is by far a smaller world but i just thought it looked so amazing and i always loved the mortality stuff and how it effects people around u. im hoping skyrim isnt to different from oblivion cuz i get far 2 detracted on those games XD as a side note, yea ur really cute

I haven't played either Prototype or Infamous, so I can't really say anything about them other than "Ooh, Shiny!" Therefore, I'll ramble about Skyrim for a wee bit since I know more about that. I've seen a bunch of articles and things referring to how it's bringing back some of the qualities that made Morrowind great, specifically the alien feeling of the landscape.

I believed InFamous was better than Prototype, mostly because the story was better written & more engaging. Also the leveling & combat of InFamous felt more polished overall. the problem for me with Prototype's story is that by the end of the game I felt like the developers left the main character somewhere between being a evil bad-ass & a whiny bitch, at which point I lost both all Sympathy & respect for him.

I wasn't a big fan of Prototype. I think what it was is that when there's a game with gore and powerful violence, I want some horror aspect to it as well. Also, artistically, the cut scenes in Infamous were just awesome.

While prototype 1 is by no means stellar in all aspects, the core gameplay in Infamous 1 is more annoying than difficult, with enemy sniper A.I. quick scoping for the first 15 hrs then one final boss who's rediculously overpowerd compared to everything else. It turned me off buying the second game.
Protopype 2 will probably be interesting at least you'll have more than 1 climbing animation (infamous 1 climbing was lame) and it'll at least take some strategy to get through, should be fun..

inFAMOUS because in my opinion:
The protagonist has a much more developed personality.
The environments are much more detailed and varied.
Navigating the environment. While prototype is fun with the flying and running I feel as if inFAMOUS is a bit more difficult and fun to find your personal navigation style. (ex. use power lines a lot out in the open or rooftops with cover.)
Also, if you do plan to play them play the 1st before the 2nd because Cole changes a lot between both games.

Definetly preferred Infamous over prototype. Had a much better storyline. and gave you more of a superhero feel, although both fell victim to glitchy controls and the redundant side quests,(beat this guy up chase this run over that blah blah) I do agree with you on the gliding ability in prototype was a nice touch and though it had its moments they definetely had solid animation in parkour movements used. I suggest you DL dc universe if you haven't already.

Infamous...hands down..Got better story, acting, and gameplay. And unlike Prototype, it has a sequel that's already out. I even got plans to start a good and evil walkthrough of Infamous at the end of this month, I'm doing the evil side, my girlfriend's doing the good side. So again I say infamous.

I dunno, I think a lot of what makes a game or story great is it's epicness. Just how powerful you feel or how great the scale of destruction there is. Being something that can slice a dozen people at once made me feel a lot more tough and Brandy McMeanshisBusiness.
