It's all personal choice...and to be frank if a lady makes an effort to dress nicely and chooses nice hosiery I won't complain too much weather they are stockings or tights.
I love both...and appreciate any lady who takes time to dress her legs nicely. Yes I understand some people have a preferrence and yes stockings are generally "sexier" but to define one as bad and the other as good seems a bit silly really.

I can assure you that those are tights; not stockings. Tights=bad; stockings=good.
