Lead-acid and other batteries are highly dangerous, toxic and flammable. EV cars are highly dangerous to drive in due to accidents, corrosive fumes and acid exposure. That's why the government wants everyone in one. Hydrogen and electrloysis is the future, but the Government is killing inventors and shutting that down again.
I still prefer a piston engine vehicle. They are safer and provide more power. I think global warming is a myth perpetrated by governments/oil companies to further control and degrade human industrial activity, and so they can further tax humans for carbon. Its a scam. And the oil companies have inexhaustable (abiotic oil-Russia proved it) its just that the oil companies want us to think there is a shortage for $. Besides, It takes more fossil fuel or nuclear fuel to charge an electric vehicle.
@6SpAr6TAN69 Nice, constructive criticism you've made there (again). You should note a few things - 1, this is a home made job. 2 - this was more than 2 years ago. I'll be happy to have a look at your effort on your car (which of course, will be fantastic!). When can we see yours? ;-)
@makinnoizemedia well, i criticized the car not the creator, still havent decided on my part to work on a vehicle that would result in the worst acceleration ever and then be stuck with it... i mean, in other terms, would you make love to a temendously ugly woman, or even worse marry her?? I' d expect the answer is No, but heck if you fall in love with a car - or woman that is - then even if it' s slow - or ugly - it may not matter any more.
@6SpAr6TAN69 Look up "Datsun White Zombie" and see an EV dragging off some major competitors with petrol engines. The torque achieved from an electric motor is much greater than that from a petrol engine. The problem with EVs is not acceleration, in fact that is one of their strengths. The great weakness (so far) is range.
@6SpAr6TAN69 it was 27 sec to 80kmh and 10sec to 60kmh if you think all electric cars are slow then have a look at white zombie and it is a 10.4 sec car and cleans up alot of v8s. we are all keen to see your effort if you think you can do better.
What was the voltage sag like when accelerating? When I accelerate up a hill my voltage goes down quite a bit and I am up to 168 volts with my floodeds.
I have an idea: what about keeping the altnator from the combustion enigine and using it, while driving, to keep a charge on your batteries. What do you think?
Hi krysxn, no, that wouldn't work unfortunately! Don't feel silly though, I get asked that all the time. In a nutshell, that dynamo would create friction, which would require more energy to push against...thus, you'd be actually using more energy to recoup a little.
I have a question, would it not be possible to connect a dynamo somewhere along the line to charge the batteries as you drive along to up the milage of a charge? Im a bit of an electric noob so sorry if thats a stupid question! :)
Whenever you have a question like that, ask yourself, would this idea work if i took the batteries out. If the answer is no then it won't work. If you do this thought experiment it might make more sense.
Sealed batteries do not need venting - there are no gasses escaping! That siad, I may well push some air through the battery box to keep 'em cool. And re zero emissions -there would be emissions from a coal fired power plant. How do you think one electric car's power plant emission stack up to the tailpipe on a petrol driven car + all the electricity it took to DELIVER that fuel + the petrol in the truck that delivered the fuel + the oil tanker (see where I'm going with this?).
screw u middle east & south america. bye bye pertro dollers social government , van is better because you can out 100 batter in it. this would let u drive 1000 ,miles to 2000 miles on on a charge
Well I know you cant get Regen on a serie motor but you can on a permanent magnet one for DC. Im gonna have a 9" motor for the rear end and a etek 19hp on the front so I can adjust the Regen, with all the problem in the USA I just hope Ill still be able to get the parts!
Hi H4dflip, why not AC? Simple....Cost. I'm one guy doing and paying for all of this, so I can't really justify the 250% larger expense for about 10 to 15% more range due to regenerative braking. Sad, but true...
I like your project im from vancouver island canada Ill be building a lil 4x4 with one of those soon as they have alot of torque. But I have to say why dont you guys get a control with the Regen option and as you can program them and then get the equivalent of compression of an ICE. Cheers
Been waiting for your next update. Thx, keep it up... but enough messing around in other people's cars, get cracking!
I'm planning on converting a car in a year or two when I get enough cash. Your setup is almost exactly what I'm aiming for, so I eagerly await to see how you get along. Keep up the good work!

@sharmic1 i think it was 30seconds to 60mph, that' s like preparing a cup of coffee, that is 30secobds to 100km/hr

Free Energy is real and its here but the coverup is strong, if u are interested in a REAL free energy machine then
just go to LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM and download the blueprints ,it is probably the ONLY working magnet
motor out there. Join the free energy revolution!!

Yeah, but then you also have the same with gas cars. All of the gas and oil. Parts, yuck.

How do you vent the battery's? Zero emissions is not quite true.

Hi computerjantje: answers...
1 when the car stops accelerating, it's time to change.Or, use the tachometer
2 No. Very much not!
3 By an electric power steering pump!!

Thanks very much for the videos uptil now. It's really great.
Questions:
1. If you do not hear an engine, how do you know when to shift gear?
2. Would it be just as easy to connect the electric motor to an automatic gearbox?
3. How is the powersteering powered.

Bravo! I'm very keen to see how your Thundersky Lithiums turn out as they're the exact same ones I'm planning on using in the next EV.
