Every Heed album is AMAZING but nothing will ever beat In Keeping Secrets. It really should be in the 100 best albums of all time. And that's not because I'm a Heed fanboy.
@Zebrahead519 Not trying to start an argument here, but the Lateralus album by Tool was pretty progressive and it was released before IKSOSE (of course, all of Tool from Aenima onward is pretty progressive, but definitely different than Coheed.). SSTB is definitely the best album. IKSSE3, was pretty good. The other two have good songs but its sounds different and I don't like it :/ They're starting to sound like pop...but C&C have the credit they deserve tho.
i disagree completely... my favorite album is second stage, but both good apollo albums are great, and it's always been coheed, and to me, after i read the comics it felt even better, at frist i didn't like the new albums either, but they just feel like such great ending songs for the comic, which is what claudio was probably going for.

but that's exactly what's wrong... when they started they started touring, it was with 0$ and a demo with one song. they were all about telling the storiy through music... the music always came first on second stage and secrets 3. It was music with stories within it... but now.. its the opposite they wrote both good apollos to tell the story... not to have stories within the music.. and in my opinion, that's where it started falling apart. and dont be ridiculous their new cd's have a pop sound.

actually, in second stage and in keeping secrets, the songs where written to tell the story, the reason they're called coheed and cambria is because of claudio's trip to paris where he created the story... they're a concept band, and have always been one... the good apollo albums where great, sure it had a "pop" sound... but for me, it tied up the story and it fit, i don't see the point in saying there was anything wrong...

I think maybe he did quit smoking. I'm pretty sure he quit around the time they were touring for Good Apollo, but started again when they were writing and recording No World, but the only time I saw him smoking on the Neverender dvd's was a cigar at Travis' party, so maybe he at least cut back. I could be wrong though. If he hasn't, I agree. His voice has already gotten a lot lower over the years. I don't want to see him ruin it.

SSTB is definitely the best album. IKSSE3, was pretty good. The other two have good songs but its sounds different and I don't like it :/ They're starting to sound like pop...but C&C have the credit they deserve tho.

i disagree completely... my favorite album is second stage, but both good apollo albums are great, and it's always been coheed, and to me, after i read the comics it felt even better, at frist i didn't like the new albums either, but they just feel like such great ending songs for the comic, which is what claudio was probably going for.

but that's exactly what's wrong... when they started they started touring, it was with 0$ and a demo with one song. they were all about telling the storiy through music... the music always came first on second stage and secrets 3. It was music with stories within it... but now.. its the opposite they wrote both good apollos to tell the story... not to have stories within the music.. and in my opinion, that's where it started falling apart. and dont be ridiculous their new cd's have a pop sound.

Claudio isn't the Crowing, a space traveler or the son of two robots. His family is still alive, he hasn't destroyed the world (yet) and has never gone toe to toe with a blue horned old dude in a Harry Potter robe.
The story is fiction, but is based in part of of real events in Claudio's life. *twitch*

Claudio's life does not have spaceships. or tormented souls holding seven stars together in a stable state of endless Fission and Fusion that will never collapse and thus prevent thermal equilibrium.
He isn't God, eigther.
and I don't think he's a Paranoid Schizophrenic.
It is a METAPHOR for his life, with added in extra bits, but its still fiction.

his stories are still in the music but it's just not as noticeable
if you ever watched the Neverender bonus content he even says Justice in Murder is the hardest song to play for him because of the memories it was based on
all of their albums had some poppish songs but that's what receives air time. you can't expect the apollo's or end complete's to be on the radio now can you

the way I see it and love it, is that all the cds are like a different genre and a progression. just like their songs. they have everything for everyone. pop/rock/indie/progressive/peacefull epic melodies/crazy metal-ish riffs and screaming, and I LOVE IT. that's why they'll never get old. no one wants to hear a band with the same generic bs for 2-7 cds. i don't view coheeds albums as cd's i view them as one epic album.

actually, in second stage and in keeping secrets, the songs where written to tell the story, the reason they're called coheed and cambria is because of claudio's trip to paris where he created the story... they're a concept band, and have always been one... the good apollo albums where great, sure it had a "pop" sound... but for me, it tied up the story and it fit, i don't see the point in saying there was anything wrong...

good apollo one and two are both amazing. i agree that sstb and iksse3 are the better albums,but from fear and no world are not "pop" they are still good albums

Yeah the first two albums are amazing, i really miss everthing about them. I do enjoy apollo 1 though, apollo 2 is alright, but not there best work by far

hah, did you hear the 2nd change to the 3rd..or even the 3rd change to the 4th? they experiment so much with each album that they almost get a new style of music for each album. I love it tho, keeps it freash, tho i hope they revisit their roots for the prequel..

I think maybe he did quit smoking. I'm pretty sure he quit around the time they were touring for Good Apollo, but started again when they were writing and recording No World, but the only time I saw him smoking on the Neverender dvd's was a cigar at Travis' party, so maybe he at least cut back. I could be wrong though. If he hasn't, I agree. His voice has already gotten a lot lower over the years. I don't want to see him ruin it.
