  • I like your video - subscribe to my channel and friend to have day trade videos

  • Hi Dave, Great videos. Thanks for all the help. I opened demo account and willopen live account with this knowledge. Got question on STOP/LIMIT on "entry order" it doesn't show STOP/LIMIT options on demo accounts for us like how you shown to us is this video. Am I missing something and will there be same problem with LIVE accounts for us?

  • Hi Dave, your videos are great resources for me. I currently have an fxcm micro trading practice account platform. I can't see anywhere how to put a stop or limit order on my pending ? Can you help me ? Thanks

  • is there anyway I can place like a stop on an entry order? So that if you are away and your analysis turns out wrong, the platform automatically cancels the pending entry order?

  • glad to hear from you. There is no way to have a pending entry order on the FXCM Platform automatically cancel, but as per the above video you can put a stop on the pending entry order which will automatically take you out of a trade if your entry level is hit and the market moves against you. Best Regards, Dave

  • Hi Boademakinde, Thanks for the comment am glad you like the videos. When placing the above orders did you place the stoploss in the same pending order window as you placed the pending buy order? Also what do you mean when you say it was a no trade? Best Regards, Dave

  • Hi Dave,

Yes, I placed the stop loss in the same pending order window as the pending buy order. And by saying no trade, I meant I lost the opportunity to participate in that particular trade.

P.S. I have been taking the lessons on your site; and I recommend them to anyone reading these posts.

  • Hi Boademakinde, Sorry for the delay in reply I was having some issues with youtube which have now been resolved. I am not super familiar with metatrader but it sounds to me like the pending buy order executed instead of the stop and canceled the stop which was tied to the open position. I would double check that with the broker however as they can probably tell you better than I can how to avoid that on that particular platform in the future. Thanks so much for the recs as well. Dave

  • Hi Dave,

Thank you so much for the very educative lessons that you post for all to learn. They really are very explanatory and well rounded.

I do, however, have a question: I tried placing a pending entry order on an MT4 platform last week. However, the stop loss was executed before the Stop buy order was activated. Resultantly,it was a no trade and I missed out on a profitable trade. What do you think I missed out?

    Thank you very much.
