There is a review on the HBS website. A one hour rehearsal (sight reading) and a run through in the evening. All good fun - many of the orchestra played in the 1972/74 LSSO recordings. Quite a few star players - Richard Bissell (LPO 1st horn) Jimmy Watson (Trumpet - rpo/PJBE/Covent Garden/ Black Dyke)3 percussionists from BBC/LSO/LPO and a few string players from various pro bands.
Havergal's Symphony call for enormous size.Especially the Gothic. ore than Mahler Symphony of Thousand. I love to see the Gothic Symphony on DVD.
