  • Dear Jennibellie,

Thank you so very very much for your generosity in haring your tips and techniques - I am soo inspired by your beautiful work! I have 3 questions for you:

1 - what type of paint do you use in your spray bottle (and how do you get it to spray evenly)?

2 - what types of medium are you using to draw-paint the stems of your flowers?

3 - I did not see any knot for the elastic binding - how did you manage to slip the elastic in the back cover?

    Again, thank you so much!!!

  • @tendramisa Hi tendramisa, 1) I just use a small amount normal acrylic mixed with a large amount of water & find mini misters are the best sprays for even coverage (though I like the effect of spits and splatters sometimes), 2) They're Derwent Inktense Blocks, they are *GORGEOUS*, they come in a pencil also, 3) The knot is hidden under the paper lining, once tied secure the knot to the back cover with permanent tape then cover with the paper covered in wet glue & work in really well w/fingers :)

  • Another very enjoyable, educational and inspirational video. Another good idea - to use special birthday cards. I still have all the cards and 'bits' from my wedding day and they are just in a big heap (keep falling on my head when I open the cupboard door. Hope to have a go at making a journal with them.

  • @Anniestamper Lol Annie there's no contest they definitely need to go in a journal, falling on your head v's sitting on a shelf or your coffee table ready to flick through???The personal bits and pieces we collect in our lives become such a nuisance don't they? I'm such a hoarder too, but I've found if they're kept in some sort of 'display' like a shadow box or journal you proudly can't stop looking at them lol much love Jennibellie x

  • wonderful video. great idea on that binding!

  • Hi Jennibellie, brilliant video, again! I'm definitely a fan of your 'as little measuring as possible' philosophy. And I love how the possibilities are endless for each of the projects/techniques that you show in your tutorials. Looking forward to the next one - they're addictive!!

  • i really want to make one now :) thanks for the inspiration!

  • I love seeing how you find new and different ways to create these journals--thank you so much for sharing them with us!

  • Jennibellie.....Love the design of the spine cover....so clever! TFS and you have a new fan in Florida! Take care and now anxiously awaiting the next video. I could use video edit lessons from you, too! I will finish my Christmas Card Journal and show it on one of my next videos and send everyone your way! x KitB

  • So glad I subbed to your channel, thanks for such inspirational ideas.

  • I really enjoyed learning your process on binding these journals! Thanks for the video!

  • Great journal idea! I am rebinding a sketchbook, and this is really helpful! I like the idea of not actually measuring and sewing the signatures together. It feels so much more liberating just to randomly cut and tie off :) Thanks for sharing!

  • You are so creative. I like the look of the journals and how you beaded the signature stringy-thingies. Could you tell me what you use to edit your videos? Thank you.

  • @SleepyMushroomFairy thank you, it's called photostage, fairly simple to use & when I got mine they did trial periods for free first :)

  • Great videos as always and I'm loving all the inspiration. Can't wait to see more!

  • Jennibellie - another great video - I think I might be one of the firsts to see it. I keep checking to see your posts. Thank you for all the inspiration. You are a wonderful diversion after a long day. Keep up the great work! A big hug from Canada!

  • @Susanne4782 Hi Susanne, thank you :) completely understand that's how I got into art - therapy at the end of the tough days, thanks so much Jennibellie x
