He is at the top of his game. What you should hope for is for other drivers to STILL be able to compete with HIM.

Unless Ferrari makes a totally dominant car (which is unlikely since they lost a lot of their top personel to other teams once Schumacher retired) similar to the one they had in 2004, I don't see Alonso becoming anything less than a modern day Nelson Piquet in his Benetton days.

I am a massive Jenson & Lewis fan and it is supremely irritating to me that this man is so comprehensively dominating F1 at the moment, but I cannot honestly find it in myself to hate him, resent him, or even mildly dislike him. Why? Because he's such a great guy, and a wonderful ambassador for the sprt and a bloody, bloody good driver.
