it's supposed to be "hey white liar". not "hey why lie you". The song is called 'White liar" if you noticed...

if you meant it the other way round that it sounds like "hey why lie you", maybe it's a southern thing. she's got a very thick accent

I think it is mostly a problem with my local radio station (98.7 KMGO) where I first heard the song as this YT version is slightly more understandable.

And yes I know the title and what she is supposed to be saying but to me on the radio it sounds like I typed it before. All 3 words merged into one.
